Please no. I'd rather stay down.

It's bad enough this season. Jason Knight for instance needs to stop diving whether he's here or elsewhere. Does my head in.

The refs are appalling, and I think we've had a shocking set of decisions over the season, but I'd sooner establish a reputation for fair play than cheat, personally.

I don’t particularly like Wildsmith for this reason. Good shot stopper, but He’s got the goalkeeper lurgy where their first thought is to waste time. Catch the ball then dive on the ground with it. Embarrassing, if we’re going to be consistent then call our own players out for it as well.

The recently agreed EFL/Sky TV deal does not start until the 2024-25 season.

Yeah, I saw that after I posted.

it gives them another season to get VAR in place to complete the misery.

not that they want to improve the decisions mind, there’ll still be another idiot referee the other side of the monitor, but to give the viewers at home that dramatic pause after a goal, where they can spend five minutes looking at replays before disallowing it and crushing the spirit of everybody watching in the stadium.

  3. It’s my opinion that AT FIRST they wanted us gone, that it would send a message to other clubs that they were not to be messed with. They’d done the same with Bury, but nobody really gave a sh*t, so they wanted a bigger scalp.

When it started to get close the heat was turned on them, the turning point was the Bury MP standing up for us in Parliament, it still makes me teary eyed now, just writing this. What a great speech that was.

After that they changed tactic and gave us every chance to survive, because it meant they could scuttle back under their rock and carry on as normal.

  4. This and the Ipswich game have pushed me over the edge. As soon as the opposition score a goal they go into this cheating (? No not technically but it should be) mode. You might as well go home at that point, because you know what the next 87, 65, 40, 35, 20, 10* minutes are going to involve.

    *delete as appropriate

any player that rolls back onto the pitch while ‘injured’ is obviously not injured and should be sent off.

that goes for our players as well.

Its funny you dont really notice it until you take your kids! But not good in a specific family area. If its a one off in heat of moment would let it go but if someone persistent out of character with rest of the area would probably report them.
Always going to get it at football but its everywhere these days, especially school snd online, so are you not going to take them out? At least at football its humorous usually.
We're obsessed with supporting dcfc and have brought both my sons from age of two. Personally I hate swearing for the sake of it. Now mine are old teenagers.  They have always understood to make up their own word for "those" songs (as do I actually!). And we have always had the "what you hear in football stays at football" or you dont go rule. And have always laughed with them at one-off rants - there is nothing my youngest likes more than someone randomly standing up for a mad out of character rant. Similarly his favourite moment was a young kid standing up ranting about someone being a "scallywag".
Mine havent grown up to swear generally in life so dont stress about it too much as you'll spoil it for yourself. There's often enough to be stressed about on the pitch!

Same here, I’ve been taking my son since he was three, he’s grown up used to people swearing, but I never really made a big thing about it. He’s now 23 and I know he swears with his mates when I’ve heard him online, but doesn’t swear in front of his mum, or when we’re at social gatherings etc. so it’s never been a problem. Funnily enough I don’t really hear him swear at football (apart from in songs). although it’s usually going on around us. I’m the same really, I swear when I’m at work occasionally with people who do the same, but I wouldn’t dream of it in other situations.

  6. Of course we were, they retrospectively changed the rules after we were punished that weren’t actually rules at the time we committed the ‘offences’, and then changed other rules after we were punished in order to allow other clubs to not get punished.

They were able to bully other, smaller clubs into oblivion and tried to do the same to us, but they bit off more than they could chew, making themselves look like the incompetent organisation that they are, in front of the whole country, Parliament etc.

Unfortunately now that the furore has died down they’ve crawled back under their rock, and we’ve got on with our business of playing football again. IMO It would have been nice to have done something on the anniversary of the March to remind everyone of what a useless organisation they are, but in retrospect it’s probably better that we do keep our heads down for a while.

If there’s any good that comes out of our predicament, hopefully it’s that no club will have to go through what we’ve been through, that they should be helping clubs survive when they get into financial trouble and not turning the screw on them like they have done up to now.

I’m not a member of the RT but a quick glance at your posting history and this is the only subject you seem to have posted on ? No football chat only RT any reason ?

I suppose the only answer if you don’t like what they do is set up your own organisation with like minded folk.

But then, that organisation of like minded folk would exclude non like minded folk, the very thing that he is so upset about.

personally I wouldn’t want to join any organisation that would accept people like me as a member, but that’s just me. ?

Naïve but well-meaning supporters trust owners got swindled by grubby businessman who has summarily stripped the soul from the club in the chase for money. I was almost sympathetic for a second, but f*** 'em. The fans are so self-righteous and don't see the parallels. Hope they rot.

Happy to see another club die so they can get their grubby mitts on a measly 300k.

I was soaked right through and my phone battery was completely dead, coming out of the ground from a different direction I didn’t even know the way to the hotel. Someone pointed me in the direction of the harbour and I knew it was downhill. I walked for about three quarters of a mile and then managed to jump on a bus.
Had a hot shower, a complete change of clothes, straight across to the pub for two pints of much needed John smiths. Then to the Chinese restaurant and a bottle of wine and then finished up with a few cocktails in the piano bar listening to a very good singer/pianist. Enjoyed the the evening more than the day.?

It was alright up to the John Smiths.

I can take travelling hundreds of miles for a shot second half, watching another tin pot set of fans celebrate at our expense, getting lost and soaked on the way to the hotel, but John Smiths? Urgh.

I penned this a few weeks ago

David Clowes David Clowes David Clowes...David Clowes David Clowes David Clo owes, David Clowes David Clowes David Clowes...David Clowes DAVID CLOWES!

Feel free to print out and pass to friends and family as the words/names can easily be forgotten ?

I like the change to the sixth Clowes, it really takes it to the next level.

Maybe it was you I heard getting in my car. I could hear someone shouting for the police to get up there. Not nice. My son was still going on about it this morning.

What was he doing getting in your car?
    Bloody hooligan.
