Charlton prob just wanted to wait on announcement, if other teams find out you just had a windfall it can change their negotiating position. They seem to be spending a few quid this window.

No plan b, everytime we went wide they had 3 defenders closing down. They have no idea how to play through the middle anymore. It’s been completely coached out of them.

Imagine if Mel had claimed money as a creditor, we definitely wouldn't exist now.

It's worth remembering our owner isn't really that cash rich, just a succesful local business owner that wanted to save his club. I don't think he really wants to spend his personal wealth on a load of overpaid footballers even when the EFL controls are relinquished.

EFl always hated Mel after he exposed how crap their TV deal is, they were determined to relegate us even after we won the independent tribunal. We got cheated out of the Prem by multiple FFP cheats but we didn't threaten anyone with court. But that's all in the past now thankfully mostly, once we get out of the business plan we can go back to being a normal club again.

CBT is a seriously impressive signing for you lot, and as if the rest of L1 needed any reminder, just shows how ridiculous it is that you're in this division.
Operating within a business plan and still able to drop a chunky fee way beyond the majority of clubs*.
Personally see the top 2 being 2 of yourselves, Bolton and Posh now. You're absolutely motoring, full of confidence and more importantly there seems to be some genuine belief in the fan base once again - that Burton moment could be talked about for years to come.
Posh by far and away the best side we've played and Bolton just seem to keep adding to a decent squad already with games in hand. Not convinced by Pompey and I think fan pressure may play a big part down there.
If you could either go up in the top 2, or collapse entirely, it would be greatly appreciated. Living in Derby, I get married the week after the play-off final to a Derby supporter from an entire family and extended family of Derby supporters. So a 2legged play-off semi, or even worse, the final against you, would not be the emotional situation required in the approach to the wedding 🤣
*We've gone out today and spent an extremely chunky fee given our history, one that has caught a lot of fans by surprise with the initial interest and reports. We'll have to see how that goes.

Think Bolton will win the league personally, really dont fancy the playoffs . Autos are there for us really, our run of games now is pretty favourable as well. Need to get these couple of players in now to give us some edge and that fresh push we didn't get last season.

It's poor football at times, Bird's neck must ache like a bitch watching all those long balls bypass him overhead every game. It's effective but only when we are high on energy, soon as we drop off you can see it going wrong. The period before the equaliser we couldn't put 2 passes together for 5 mins it was genuinely awful. John-Jules was poor all game, link up play just never came off constantly rolling around for fouls that never were.
Warneball feels like it's all or nothing to me, either really effective driving teams back or total loss of control. Had an OK first half then after 2nd goal went in the levels seem to ease off and we let them right back in to it. When we finally started whipping proper crosses in things started to fall, one thing I can't stand is floated crosses. Fair play to Hourihane though he stepped up that last 10 mins and pushed us forward.

What a bunch of babies in the south street upper - I’m aware this is the loud minority we’re talking about but my god when it went to 2-2.
Every player was a ‘TWxT’ or an F-ing idiot’
Elder should have been crucified according to some of these man babies.
Sibley decided to cross and it was close to their keeper ‘F’ing rubbish you useless tw*t shouldn’t play for us again’.
I get it was frustrating we let it slip but Christ look at the run we are on - get behind the lads. They did everything right to try and get back into the game they kept working space down the sides rather than going to the emergency pump balls forward panic tactic.
And by all means criticise the players for their football but they’re not ‘tw*ts’ or ‘c*nts’ theyre just league one footballers who make mistakes occasionally.

Quality player but in our financial position we have no choice but to accept a lower offer of 2m, all the best.
