But a lot of those attending will have been season ticket holder’s wouldn’t they? Or have you taken that in to account?

Exactly. An uplift of circa 8-10k per sell out, even if at a averaged entry of £20 that's only £400k, or 1 week of the losses per month. Selling more tickets is 100% profit as there's no extra unit costs. Let's keep filling the ground!

Is it worth pointing out that Gibson’s extra security talk before the game was just more smoke & mirrors nonsense in a long list of smoke & mirrors nonsense from the bloke?

He had a couple of rows empty around him and two armed police stood at the entry to the directors box. Then above average numbers of police and stewards around the Derby fans, these then turned rather heavy handed after the match as they craved to manufacture the headline that we were up to no good.

Pretty sure it was Simon doing a lot of the scouting.

I don't mind the odd Connor Sammon's when the likes of Martin, Ward, Forsyth and Eustace being given new life too after getting left to rot by former clubs and not forgetting the Scottish scouting trips to get Bryson and Russell. There isn't any club that'll have 100% success rates, on the large, Clough had a very good record for signing players who would last the length of time, and if they didn't they were cheap enough to flog on without too much effort. I'd much rather that the likes of Camara, Blackman, Anya etc being bought for big money on big wages, barely playing and leaving us for free/being paid to leave.

Same with me. I sent another e-mail (after the 10 working days in which he was supposed to reply) saying how disappointed I was not to get a reply.  I highlighted that our problems were now national news and have implications for football wider than the Derby area (he is the Crewe MP).

I'll send a follow up to my email then, good thought.

Why use that photo where the ground looks in disrepair??

Does anyone local own a jet wash? I did think the last time I was at the ground it needs a good jet washing all over. If I'm selling a car, it has a full wash and valet. Sure we can't be fancy with it, but surely there's a local commercial jet washing company that could spare a day washing even the worst bits down?

  6. Need to concentrate now on the North East corner. Block F lower has 5 rows at the front all pretty much unsold. Then the blocks immediately above have a lot of empties. Circa 600 now left to sell, there's 270 just in NE block F and G.

    Very interesting developments…

boro are allegedly around 10-15 million in breach of FFP so I guess the settlement will be very similar to what they actually want - funny that “ crap we’re in breach let’s get some money in quick”

as for another potentially guilty party , Notts Forrest have just sold Carlvalho to olympiarkos for a fee reported to be 14.5 m rising to 18 m funny that for a player they’ve barely played gets a large figure transfer and just so happens to be the other club the fat Greek owns! I love a bit of FFP democracy… what a joke

That'll get overlooked with the Forest guy on the EFL board. Wouldn't surprise me if the profit made on the player is equal to whatever losses they have over the FFP limit. Absolutely corrupt the lot of them. We get 9 points for something that we were proved to be not in the wrong, just using different methods, yet forced to change to avoid any foreseen competitive advantage. This independent regulator needs bringing in asap, let the EFL manage the fixtures and that's it.

3143 left online as of 1600 today.

3105 left as of 4.45pm today, so circa 1 ticket sold every minute. Google tells me there's 5565 minutes until kick off, that's enough to flog the rest! A lot of blocks with under 10 tickets in each. The major block is still North upper block A, and the lower block A.

I'm not sure it is as low as 31.5k capacity - Just a few unoccupied seats for Sky I would imagine.  I noticed very little segregation between away/home fans v Sheff Utd.

Hasn't the reduced "sold out" capacity always been 33,010 since the away fans got moved?

Wow, thanks for the great snapshot here, much appreciated. Sounds like we have a few highly promising players in each intake. Hopefully there's a couple first team fringe players produced each year to then kick on in their second year with the first team. The likes of Hanson and Rawson would've been adequate backups instead of the highly paid hasbeens we had.

  11. Absolutely staggering to see the progression that the majority of the squad has made into the first team. Huge kudos has to be given to the youth structure and also to Rooney/co for believing in these players. Do we have the next generation coming through for use in the first team in 1-2 years or are these players all being snatched away by the likes of Liverpool and Man United? Obviously we're currently pushing all the better kids though as necessity, we just need to keep the conveyor belt turning.

I'm sure we'd all much rather have a bench filled with own our crop with a sprinkling of experience than a bench full of £20-30k a week "earners" with more in reserve. It simply isn't sustainable as we know, and we need to keep the great camaraderie between fans and players up as much as possible.

£100,000 has been suggested which, if true, would make Rooney's claims of "derisory bids" entirely justified.

Having spoken to someone incredibly close to the administration team, I'm told the offer was "low five figures" with no sell on clauses, similar to Shinnie.

If we get £100k for anyone regardless of current/potential talent or contract length I'd be extremely surprised. This is very grim indeed.

  13. That's it surely? 2 minutes in on the below. @Owen87ITK reels off the names of the coaches to Justin Walker asking about their dynamics as a coaching team, no mention of Given. Justin Walker then name checks everyone in his answer, likewise with no mention of Given. That's the proof right?
