BondJovi reacted to Steve Buckley’s Dog in Who will be our first signing?
I find it interesting that we have got more information from Ravel Morrison deleting a tweet and unfriending us on social media than we got from a 4 hour meeting with Mel Morris on Wednesday night.

I think you can have pop at Mel for this because it is not taking leadership. It is putting a select group of fans in a difficult situation.
What we hear will be the information that should have come from Mel/the club directly to the fans. Whatever way, it will be what they want us to hear, so why make it so complicated. Just comes across as amateurish. Whilst the idea might be noble, the execution...

Personally feel the club should have at least put something out to all that if nothing else, acknowledges fan concerns. Communication has been awful.
However, they have chosen this way. For this forum @David the rep. Stop acting like spoilt kids and let the man give his report when he is ready. Doing something in good faith and being abused for it. Sad reflection of modern behaviour.

Can't quite believe the legend of Buxton hasn't made it into this discussion. 1.8?

BondJovi reacted to Carl Sagan in Wayne Rooney
I b*****y well hope so but it seemed Mel was seduced by the Lampard effect and somehow thought Rooney could replicate it. But for me Rooney had been poor and slow and an impediment to success for all his teams for a decade. Your two Rooney posts are very fair and make good points and although I dislike Rooney for it, you can't blame him for not looking a gifthorse in the mouth, but you can blame Mel. Our owner made a great decision with Cocu and then pulled the rug from under him by bringing in Rooney. And now we're completely stuck and the work Cocu was doing, as he was tasked, to raise the value of academy products as a business model for the club, has completely fallen by the wayside.

BondJovi reacted to Carl Sagan in Derby County versus Real Betis, 28 July, Pre-Season Friendly
The only player in our squad who might be a 20 goal a season player is Sibley but he's never played. That's 100% on Rooney. I want him gone.

We're definitely just one decent goal scorer away from a good team.
As soon as we remove him as manager, we'll be ok.

Personally I think it is worse as a manager. Being a manager comes with far greater responsibility, he sets the standard through the club. Have our expectations dropped so much that we are ok with our manager getting pissed in a nightclub and allowing himself to be in this situation? Especially given our current situation. We need leadership and responsibility. When you step up to the big role you have to act the part. This isn't that.

We’ve got about 6 professional players and our manager is out getting farted on by tarts while having a kip and two-footing our only good contracted player. Jesus wept.

What did you expect really with Rooney as manager. He sells stories, makes headlines. With the club in the garbage place it is, this is not a situation he should have allowed himself to be in.
This stupid lust for celebrity is poison to the club.

BondJovi reacted to Mr Tibbs in Wayne Rooney
I sympathise with him, he's been taken advantage of for sure. But how many more times does he have to be put through the ringer before he takes himself out of these situations? Until he gets a bit of self control I'm not sure he should really be manager of a football club.
My views are biased as I'm just not arsed about him being our manager, I'm just fed up. Things like this are easily avoidable if you act like a rational person IMO.

It is a mess. This is the third season running where our preparations have been completely disrupted by aspects outside of the managers control. If nothing else, that is more than enough punishment from the EFL.
I think we did well the previous season, but last season, everyone underperformed, from top to bottom. To make matters worse, the job done from external sources (the EFL) has also been rubbish.
This all leaves Rooney in the middle of potential disaster. What can he do? He was very lucky to get the job in the first place, he was lucky to keep his job (better performing managers have gone for far less). He is probably the manager most in need of support but he is getting none. These are not conditions to help a manager blossom. He doesn't have any previous performances to give him leverage. The only thing he has right now is that the club cannot afford to sack him. I am certain he believes he can be a success, yet I think he had an arrogance last season that let him down. I think Rooney knows his managerial career will not be tarnished with what happens here, I think it still remains a win win for him. If he makes something of this season he will deserve all the credit going.
We have to support him, we have to back him. I didn't want him, I thought he should have gone at the end of the season and I have minimal enthusiasm for this season. But right now, based on pure blind faith, I hope he aces it. Until any kind of takeover happens, this is what we have. Though I fear things could get nasty if we don't make a good start.
