  1. My take in Rooney resigning is;

i believe Rooney’s contract of circa £90k a week (£4.68m a year) was being entirely funded through 32Red and that deal ends on 30th June. Even if a new club purchaser wanted to keep Rooney, I doubt very much that the business plan going forward and agreed with the EFL would allow for £4.68m wages to Rooney and if it did allow for its inclusion, it would have to be ‘squared ‘ with the other staff, players wages.
it would be financial suicide to commit potentially 1/3rd of wages. I get to a single manager.
I think Rooney realised that and also due to his he’s been screwed at every point in his short tenure, I doubt very much Rooney wanted to continue with that formula, especially as his ‘potential signings’ would have been facilitated through Stretford et al a nd now he’s not in the equation, those potential signings look dead in the water.
I actually think Rooney has done us a favour by saving the club £4.68m in wages cost, that can now potentially be used to rebuild the squad , presumably under Rosenoir’s leadership ??

  2. Today is very much like a normak Derby County Transfer Deadline Day - thousands of fans eagerly  he jing for updates on possible news (signings(, bit as the time drifts towards the deadline time, fans get increasingly frustrated and angry, then the deadline passes and fans will find out that players have left the club !!!

  3. It appears we’re down to the wire and hopefully everything will go through soon, so at least we will have a club to get behind next season.

No doubt there will be a number of negative people making bitter spurious comments - I just hope that we can all remain positive, get behind the club, the clubs new owner and just enjoy football again.

Personally I’m really looking forward to next season and watching the club rebuild - could be some very exciting times ahead !! ??

  5. ?Basically because we do t have any natural finishers and consequently dont convert many if the few chances we do create. Also we fanny about too much at the back in away games with players who arnt good enough to do it. Also we are rubbish at marking at set pieces in awsy games. Also we play too deep in away games and quite often we are too negative and select the wrong players for certain matches. We need some bigger stronger players too ?

I think his comments from a decade ago don’t necessarily reflect his current values and if  one person’s “acceptable” comments are at variance with someone else’s ,who decides that their moral code is superior or more valid? If he can take this club forward ,invest in contracts for new players and provide the necessary finance to stabilise us then I’ll welcome him with open arms.He can’t be any worse than MM,hopefully, and I’m more interested in his business acumen rather than individuals perception of his psychological outlook.

I judge people by their actions and not their opinions.I don’t see many people jumping up and down about the Saudi takeover of Newcastle yet Mike Ashley was quite happy to take the money from a regime noted for its human rights abuses.

We all change over time as “maturity” kicks in.I just find it disturbing

Absolutely agree with you - many a young immature person has made inappropriate comments when younger and then later in life they are nothing like that person back then and regret their stupid comments - I know I did.

CK is nothing like the young upstart he was back then and he shouldn't be held responsible for those comments posted back then - he has made a fair comment about those posts back then and has clearly stated he is nothing like that person now. For god sake , people need to let it lye and move on ?

  7. We are absolutely screwed at every point & from every angle. Yes I have real anger towards MM for what he’s done to our club, then cowardly walks away leaving chaos behind. However, I have utter contempt for the EFL for the way they have and haven’t handled the whole mess - in particular, changing the rules mid season, to help other Clubs not fall foul of the same rules that we have broken - it absolutely stinks !!!

  8. The clubs needs are currently a lot greater than keeping a failed player.
To be brutally honest, we’ve had their pants down if we’ve got more than a million for him - he’s been as much use as a chocolate tea pot for Derby. He’ll probably do very well in the US, where nobody is allowed to tackle anyone for fear of being sued.

  9. I can’t provide any proof there is any conspiracy against Derby County and it’s too easy to slip in to that conspiracy theory given our position.
what is evident though, is that refereeing standards have never been this poor and the only consistency is their continual ‘not being fit for purpose’ standard.
When you add Derby’s poor level of decision making, inability to make positive decisions when in attack, the slow laborious ‘build up play’, ease of losing possession and low ability in converting the few goal scoring chances we get - it just compounds the conspiracy theorists.
We are where we are because we aren’t actually very good at the moment - even if we got out 21pt back  today, I still think we’d be looking over our shoulder and very much in a relegation fight, given our current form.
