So does Katie Price?

Can't see that this has been mentioned in the match thread, but to those fans who started the chanting in the North Stand - WELL DONE.
A surreal moment and possibly the first start to a chant from them I can recall since 1997 - keep it up.
South Stand are you listening ?

More recently, Jude Bellingham waited until his 17th birthday, signed professional terms with blues, who sold him next day for £25m. If only Gordon and Delap had done that with us, we'd probably not be in the position we are now.
Yes and that is after the EFL trying to force them to sell him for £5m - 'in accordance with the EFL business plan' imposed on Brum.
Think the EFL even charged Brum with breaking the terms of the plan !!! (Eventually sanity prevailed and no penalty applied - I think)

As soon as MM put us into Administration the EFL and Gibson had us over a barrel.
That's why I wish Mel had kept funding the Club. I really would have liked to see him take the EFL to court over the points deductions and Gibson to court over the extortion.

Doesn't mean they were either.
Them's the rules of the EFL Club.
Yes but but the EFL can change those rules - as we found out !!!!

Curiously the rule we “broke” all thise years ago wasn’t in the EFL rule book until February last year! ?

Are their ever any nice fish and chip shops near the grounds ?
I can only ever think of Grimsby and Hull with a good selection
The BBG had one.
Wrapped in newspaper - delicious !!

Anyone else notice Curtis waving to the South Stand at the end of the game?
Maybe he always waves like that and I had not noticed before but to me could easily have been interpreted as a good bye wave ?

Thought we were OK for the first 60 minutes. Quite lively. Thought Bird and Smith were very good first half and Dobbin was more effective. Just needed a little more incisiveness. The two Sheffield subs up front improved things for them and they had the better of the last 20 minutes helped with the Officials rapidly going down the pan and favouring them completely.
Thought our defence was excellent second half with Forsyth outstanding.
Not the best game but certainly far from the worst imo.
-
Wildsmith 5 Nothing to do but kicking was poor.
Smith 6
Cashin 4 Cost us the game.
Forsyth 6
Robert’s 6
Mendez-Laing 5 Should have been the match winner but under used and pitch did not help.
Spearman 5
Sibley 5 Scared to make a challenge after his 'lucky' yellow card.
Hourihane 4 Back to normal - no influence.
Bird 6 Good assist.
Dobbin 4 Disappointing. Should have scored at least 1. Should have been subbed imo.
Osula 6.5 Two good goals. Our only outlet with pace. Should not have been subbed.
Thompson 5
Collins 4 Disappointing. Not effective out on the wing needed to be central.
Sending off and penalty changed the game but really we were poor throughout. Should have been out of sight by half time.

What’s Graeme Shinnie doing these days?
Good question. He is definitely the type of player you need in this league.
Bird, Knight & Hourihane are all good players but in my opinion better suited to the Championship and above. That's not to say they are too good for League 1 but if given time they can all dictate and control matches. It's becoming pretty obvious that you don't get that time in League 1.
I noticed on Saturday within 30 seconds of the start Knight was being manhandled on the halfway line and he was nowhere near the ball. The look on his face at the PV players physicality said it all.
Smith and Rooney may fare better which leads me to think we could see Knight or/and Bird sold in January. That's on the assumption that if we did sell them we would be able to reinvest the proceeds in 'Warne' type players.

Hope your train is running okay in the strike. Mine’s not so I can’t get up from Bristol ☹️
Believe West Country Rams Supporters Club run a coach to home games from Cheltenham picking up Wychbold and then Shirley,Solihull.
Just saying.

Derby born (Nightingale, a popular place !!?)
My Dad took me to my first match at the BBG in January 1959 - see picture below that still hangs in Pride Park. I was somewhere on that picture on the Popside. PNE in a FA Cup match 2-2. 2 or 3 inches of snow on the pitch and on the terraces. The match would not have been played now a day.
DERBY PLAYED IN RED !!!! ? and I see both teams had white shorts.
'Forever Derby' from that day onwards even though I have lived 50 miles away since 1967.
Two daughters both keen Rams fans and season ticket holders. Although the eldest had a brief skirmish with Coventry the year they won the Cup but I soon put a stop to that !!!
We still travel the 100 mile round trip. IT'S IN YOR DNA.

4 years ? So that's up, down , up, down so we end up where we are now !!! ? ?

You know goals win games right? (Sibley better than CH?)
Certainly do. Because up to the 70th minute CH's score would have been a 4 from me ?
(two good goals admitted!)

Wildsmith 7.5 3 or 4 excellent saves
Chester 6 Very steady for first game back. Should have used M-L more as an outlet in last 10 mins.
Knight 6 Usual energetic game
Roberts 6 Steady
Cashin 6 Steady as usual
Davies 5.5 Not yet fully match fit
McGoldrick 7 Did well, lively could/ should have scored a couple.
Sibley 6.5 Lively
Hourihane 6 Apart from scoring the two goals had a very poor game.
Mendez-Laing 7 Very lively when he came on. caused panic down the right hand side. Under used.
Bird ? 5 Tried hard but struggling at the moment
Collins 6 Did OK when he came on.
Barkhuizen 6.5 Lively.
Forsyth 6
Substitutions had a real effect on this game - well done Rosey.

Wildsmith 6 Brilliant one handed save at 0-0
Knight 6 Energetic as ever brilliant block on the line.
Forsyth 6 You could see the tactics initially against their small full back
Cashin 6 Would probably have been my MoM had it not been for his costly error for 3rd goal.
Stearman 6 Steady but exposed by lack of a mid-field
Dobbin 5 too late to have an impact
McGoldrick 6.5 Lively and a good assist for the first goal.
Sibley 5 Had lilltle impact. Out of position.
Hourihane 4 Very disappointing game. Involved but too unforced many errors
Mendez-Laing 6 Excellent individual goal. Our main threat.
Bird ? 4 Another disappointing game. Overwhelmed in mid-field.
Collins 6 Took his goal well. Probably the main positive from the game. Again little support.
Barkhuizen 5 Got clattered quite a bit. Little influence.
Thompson 3 Could see the logic of bolstering the poor mid-field but a bit of a headless chicken performance. No impact.
Osula 5 Put himself about. Unfair to judge yet with little support. Think a more experienced loanee is what we wanted.
At half time I said 2-0 and we have not played. Totally 'out passed' and over ran in mid-field. No support to front men. Disappointing. Substitutes had adverse effect and with hindsight (how wonderful that is !!) Rooney's introduction may have been more beneficial. Reverting to a back 3 with either Fozzy or Rooney in there may have helped following the introduction of their substitutes.
Food for thought !

It has to be 13th September 1969. Before segregation. I can remember the situation like yesterday.
Newcastle 0 Derby 1. McFarland with a majestic header. Our first season back in the 'old' First Division.
I travel up to St James Park on the Ramaway train with my friend Robin Morris (where are you now Robin??)
Got into the ground with black and white everywhere. It wasn't until McFarland scored and the two of us were going crazy that we realised all the black and white around us were Newcastle fans and the Newkie Brown in most pockets became prominent!!
Decided to stop our celebrations and somewhat cowardly blend back into the crowd keeping a low profile for the rest of the game.
If I remember correctly Derby went to the top of the league that day and it was 10 games unbeaten on our return to the 'big' time.
A great train ride home was had by all.
It was also a week before the famous 5-0 Tottenham game.
Great memories.

What an awful match to watch. Thought Lincoln did a good job on Derby first half by closing us down. Far too many not 'on song'. Slow build up , poor passing. Lincoln a yard quicker to the ball. Never seen Cashin play so poorly, concerning, didn't think he had that in him. West Stand Linesman shockingly bad. Still should have won it second half. Not Warne's best tactical match. We move on.
