Ten Year Wedding Anniversary

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, it’s my ten year wedding anniversary in a few weeks and I am struggling to think of a gift to give my husband. I need some inspiration! Had anyone given or received something for a special occasion that they really loved or would recommend? (keep it clean 😂).

He hates ‘stuff’, doesn’t wear jewellery or watches, isn’t into sport. We both have opposite taste in music - I’ve hardly heard of anything he listens to. Help 🤷🏻‍♀️

I buy something related to the traditional wedding anniversaries.  10 years is tin, maybe a pack of Stella 😂.  We’ve got just over a year to go to get to 10 so I can’t tell you what you she’s bought me as an idea.

If you do something like that I’ve bought some bespoke gifts off places like Not on the High Street for Mrs FBM that have given me some brownie points.

I can’t wait for 15 years, then I get time off for good behaviour 😂.

My wife and I agreed not to do gifts for anniversary anymore because we both have plenty of stuff. Instead we usually plan a long weekend away somewhere and spend the time just on us.

That's us too.  Same for birthdays and christmas too nowadays!
Boring/tight to some, shocking/shameful to others.  But it works for us, and that's what matters.  👍

Anyway... back on topic... 10 years = tin, traditionally.

@B4’s Sister, you've mentioned what he doesn't like... how about you help us help you, and tell us what he does like!  🤣

EDIT:
Oops... @FlyBritishMidland beat me to it, tin-wise!  🍻

Gifts have a monetary value so can be judged as to how much you care.

Decide on the ten things you value about him the most and get the list artworked.

It’s always nice to get compliments!

We don’t usually do gifts for anniversaries. Occasionally we give each something like chocolates or a nice bottle of wine. Feels like I should do something for the ten years though

Problem is I don’t know what he likes half the time 😂 He was listening to Suede a few days before a tour went on sale. Bought tickets only for him to say he doesn’t like Suede 🤷🏻‍♀️ He’s into music but obscure stuff I know nothing about. He’s just started reading properly, bought a couple of books which turned out to ‘not be his thing’. Can’t bloody win 😂

Go away with your mates on the day of your Anniversary. He will love it.

This has given me an idea of printing some photos of the last ten years and writing a memory on the back. Thank you!

We’re getting warmer. I’ve just looked at 10 year old whisky. Bit pricier than usual but not too expensive. I could put together a hamper of ten gifts including photos/memories as suggested by @Anag Ram and @ramit And tin suggested by @FlyBritishMidland and @Mucker1884 Thanks guys 😘

While we’re on the subject. Gift ideas for my Dad’s 70th? Lifelong Derby fan. Very easy going. Likes to try different food and beers (mum is a fussy eater, so they don’t eat out very often). It’s a shame his birthday falls out of season as he loves socialising with his supporters club.
