Kelly isn't hated by the Motherwell fans in fact they love him at Motherwell and the Scotland fans only have a issue with him cos he is ex Rangers like they have issues with all the ex and current Rangers players but there the farmer element Kelly was absolutely fantastic against Rangers when Motherwell win at Ibrox made double save at the end And maybe the Scotland fans that aren't bigots are comparing Kelly to better quality keepers over the years like Gordon McGregor Marshall? I only need to look for 5 minutes to see how Motherwell fans say how incredibly inconsistent he is, for opposition fans to say how horrific he is. Also, do we need another keeper? Wildsmith and Vickers are good enough, perhaps we need a third choice if Loach leaves, but we have Thompson in the academy who will be our first choice within 3-4 years providing he doesn't sign for a Premier League club. Kelly is same age as Wildsmith and again has played more think Wildsmith is on 147 and Kelly is bigger and more commanding and is better with ball at his feet So did you watch the Rangers game then cos it wasn't just the double save at the end he made he made three or four top draw saves were he pushed the ball clear from any danger Kelly has got better but they tend to as they get older keepers can still develop well into there 30ties Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Using clean sheets as a goalkeeping stat is pointless. But if we look at it, Motherwell have the least clean sheet % and least in the league, Kelly has played 100% of the minutes. I've already shown he's statistically the worst shot stopper in the league according to Opta. He plays an average of 13.9 accurate passes per game (48% accuracy), which is 7th out of 12 goalkeepers who have played over 10 games this season. 9.17 out of the 13.9 accurate passes per game are long balls. Which shows he plays an average of 4.73 short passes per game. Yes, I understand that is team dependent mostly, but that's not a good stat and proves nothing about his ability to play out from the back. Well those stats are wrong he is clearly 6.2 and just got called up into the Scotland squad once again Club captain as well which shows you that he has leadership skills but him in a team with defenders that can pass the ball like a Souttar his style would do well Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Barron already had £500 000 turned down for him from Swansea City he is exactly the kind of young hungry player we should be looking at be perfect deep lying midfielder and if Baccus and Strain are so bad you would have thought that England would scored more than one goal against them when they played for Australia we are talking free transfers here Barron has almost played 100 games at 21 have we got anybody with that kind of game time that is 21?
