Perhaps went a bit too far in calling that player out and squad is pißßed off hence chairman pulling the plug.

Was perhaps sneaking in too many chicken balti pies?

Weird one has Forest Green had only released a statement about support him over the online abuse he received at the weekend.

FGR I assume are supporting him in that aspect, even if they've removed him from his duties that wouldn't be a good reason to suddently not help investigate abuse he recieved whilst working for the club.

Did we dodge a bullet with Fankaty Dabo then? Suspect Deeney just calls it as he see it. Hard-working player so might set standards some can't, or won't meet. Some stuff best said in private though, unless that option has already been exhausted.

I think he's been dragged down to the poor standard of the other defenders and lost confidence. He's only been singled out because of where he was last season.

Their squad is awful - they'd need 7 new starters to have any chance of staying up.

Getting a 4 game touchline ban for effin and blindin at some officials as well as him calling out players and the club only served into a chairman's hands who is now in the realms of leaving league2

Deeney's biggest problem is his massive ego. Plenty of managers dish out scathing attacks on underperforming players, but it's kept in the dressing room. Deeney did it publicly because he absolutely had to let everyone know that his awful performance as a manager was the players' fault and not his own. He can't even claim that their poor play and poor attitude came as a shock. He's been playing for them all season, so he knew exactly what he was dealing with, chose to take the job anyway, and then started whinging immediately.

Yep.

Seen a load of clips of him on podcasts recently and he just comes across as an egotistical, arrogant bell. I find this all quite funny.
