Next week they’ll announce a new Rotherham variant that you can catch straight after catching any other coronavirus strain and no vaccination work against it. If players have picked up knocks and are unavailable for selection, it could be argued that delaying a match until you have a healthy roster, even allowing for fixture congestion, could be a marginal gain. It was a light-hearted comment, however if they are unable to fulfil their fixtures within the normal season then the games they can't complete must be awarded to the opposing team - there's already a precedent that's been applied when teams have been unable to fulfil fixtures at short-notice due to flu.
