England Ram Posted December 5, 2020 Share Posted December 5, 2020 Marshall - 8 Great save at 0-0 and commanding in his area throughout. Byrne - 7 Did his job well. Winger had his number toward the end, until he halved him and slowed him down. Forsyth - 9 going on the ratings system this was Fozzy’s best performance of the season and one of ours in total as well, would have been a 10 but didn’t have the legs for their winger a couple of times. Davies - 7. Great defensively but sadly does not have that passing ability. Clarke - 6. Seemed to have an OK game but struggled a few times with the simple things. Bielik - 9. Best performance of the season from him. Feel he will just get better and better. Shinnie - 8 Very good. Wish he was a little more forward thinking but boy does he do that defensive side well. Holmes - 4 Still poor and it stood out even more today without Lawrence to deflect the attention and everyone else putting a good shift in. Knight - 8 Did a great job to put himself about and pressure their back line and midfield. Got himself a goal, which is his job in a forward position but also tidied up in the midfield. Would have been a 9 but a few waylayed passes drops him a mark. Jozwiak - 10 Again, following the ratings, he gave one of the best performances of the season. Troubled their back line all game. Kept the ball, put them on the back foot, played some brilliant balls that should have ended in shots rather than waste from other players and what a defensive effort from him. Gave absolutely everything to keep that 3 points. CKR - 6 Average performance, looked like his legs went early today and got no joy from the ref. His touch was poor on a few occasions as well. Honorary Waghorn- 8 Did more in his time than Holmes in all of his. Made a massive difference to the front line. We all need to be singing off the same hymnsheet, so whether you agree with my framework or not, can we can we all use the same framework. 1 = Worst performance you have ever seen 2 = Worst performance of the season 3 = Terrible performance 4 = Very poor performance 5 = Poor performance 6 = Average performance 7 = Good performance 8 = Very good performance 9 = Excellent performance 10 = One of best performances of the season. Solid & secure thereafter although didnt have that much to do Byrne 7 - contributed to build up play down the right with some decent delivery (although didnt really find anyone). Defensively good with one excellent block & cutting out crosses Forsyth 7 - good display. Excellent ball to set up the winner, good in the air & dont recall any drama on the ball. Struggled a little against their RW but generally solid Davies 8 - excellent display. Totally neutered Smith. Clarke 7 - shaky first few mins & nearly let them in but fine thereafter. Usual dominance in the air & poise on the ball Bielik 8 MOM - ran the game from midfield. Excellent on the ball, good range of passing, tracking back & driving through midfield Shinnie 7 - worked really hard & competed well for second balls. Holmes 5 - lots of effort but particularly poor quality today. His cross cum shot just before the break was as bad as any effort Ive seen for a while. Not a RW Knight 7 - usual high energy display, fluffed a first half chance by taking too many touches & struggled to make an impact. Great opportunism for the goal & worked so hard late on to secure the win Jozwiak 7 - took a while to grow into the game but started to find his rhythm. Low centre of gravity & keeps the ball so well. Worked really hard also. Much more to come from this lad CKR 6 - struggled to hold the ball as well as Cov & Wycombe but still contributed some good touches at times. Great save to stop an almost certain goal Byrne 7 - Got better as the game went on Forsyth 6 - Important defensive header in first half and good deep cross that lead to the goal. However stopped very few crosses coming in Davies 7 - Solid defensively. Some misplaced passes though Clarke 7 - Mistake when misjudging ball over the top in first half. Otherwise calm and controlled Bielik 8 - Looked a class above in midfield Shinnie 7 - Did a job in the midfield battle Holmes 5 - Just not on it today Knight 7 - Was ineffective first half but worked hard in the 2nd and was in the right place to bag the winner Jozwiak 8 - Average first half but stepped up in the second both in attack and defensively CKR 6 - Tried hard and was a handful for the defenders but nothing really stuck today Special mention for Waghorn.
