No, you're opinion is assessed on it's merits like everyone else's.  We just highlight it's negativity when it's called for.  Like now...

You have to admit, a lot of your posts do have a whiff of negativity about them.

As for last nights team selection.  Got no issue with it at all, just the same as I didn't have any issues with the Fo**st league cup game.  The youngsters who featured in the latter game leaned from the experience, as did Cocu.  The kids who featured last night will again learn from it.  I personally thought collectively we defended pretty well last night, but when the opposition have the likes of Fernandes & Mata in their ranks, the gaps are going to be exposed, no matter how small they are.  Plus there's nothing much you can do about Shaw's goal, if he hit it properly, Roos would've dealt with it.  I'd have no problem having that back four in a league game...

That’s because I am negative about the clubs future with the EFL charges etc.

I want DCFC to do well.

Sorry if I’m negative as dot forget I’ve seen a lot better with Clough and Taylor and Dave Mackey , Jim Smith etc

My original thought a on team selection when I saw it was shock.

Mine wasn't shock, nor surprise because that's the sort of selection Cocu makes. But I'm not having that it's anything other than him not rating the Cups, he did the same against F*rest.

I feel my opinion is disregarded.

Its all about the Academy players at DCFC now like it or not.

Let’s hope it works but I have my doubts.

Ok, but what is the alternative? Morris has invested in the academy to make it one of the best in the country and wants to start seeing a return on it. We’ve tried the spending approach and it’s not worked for us like it hasn’t worked for the majority of champ clubs, so surely it’s best to use the resources we have long term with a specialist manager and have a go that way?

Being a football fan is all about patience and seeing what plays out in front of you, not knee jerk reactions. Ofcourse if you have the opinion on the academy that’s fine, but you have to be able to think about it and back it up rather than give a blank statement and expect it to be taken at face value.

I have an opinion but it’s not worth carrying on with it as it’s universally disagreed with on here about the Academy being the only way forward.

I will leave it at that thanks.

I completely understand your perspective on this but I really only feel like we were one, maybe two players away from our best lineup yesterday - not including those injured/unwell.

I'd put Clarke in and probably Martin and that's that, although the latter would be in for Sibley and I really wanted to see Sibley start. I think Roos is better than Hamer, I think Lowe and Bogle are our best fullbacks.

Rub it why don't you...

I appreciate your frustration with the charges, but I'll sacrifice the quarter finals for (fingers crossed) a win on Sunday and another vital 3 points in case the independent panel come to the conclusion that the FA weren't completely incompetent & are only doing this to save face with Steve Gibson, and sanction a points deduction...

In fairness, I’ve disregarded your opinions for several years at this point

Anyhow if you're having a pop at me over the thread I started regarding the moaners.....fair enough. As I have said, I think constructive criticism of Cocu, me, or anyone or anything else is to be welcomed. But many of the comments on here are just plain negative, not constructive.

Of those not entirely convinced by Cocu, @RoyMac5and @Jourdan are at least constructive in their arguments. I do not mind that. It's all about opinions.

But there are some, and it sounds like many attended the game last night, who feel we are entitled to win every game, that despite injury, illness, quality of our squad or the idea of blooding youngsters, we should literally take one game at a time and not think about the long term.

Supporting a club is a lifelong thing. Someone said they were not renewing their season ticket on the basis of the team selected last night. Sheesh.

I still don't get this squad quality people keep refering to. We have a good squad. The side that started yesterday is going to be almost identical to how we lineup next season. Except we will get in a keeper who can play with their feet, Mike te Wierik will be a CB and Bielik will be his partner.

I've been critical of Cocu and he needed to show more to change my opinion on he should go. He has now. We've gone from creating almost no chances and being lethargic to being capable of netting 3 a game. I still think we try to play out the back too often. But he's beyond stubborn in that is what we should do litterally every game. Even against teams like Man U who have 4 players stood on the edge of our box ready to get the ball off us.

This new CB is good with his feet according to the club and reports, we know Bielik is too. Add a keeper to that and the system of playing out from the back will improve considerably.

Last night Rooney could have scored two, Sibley one, Waghorn Two and Marriott one. We could have taken the sword to them more.

I'm especially excited about what all the young lads had to offer last night and will do next season. That includes Lowe, the oldest of the bunch.

Seeing as we're giving opinions on team selection,

Keeper: Standard really.

Back 4: Awful, playing a DM and LB at CB is bound to be a bad mistake. This was the biggest mistake IN MY OPINION.

Midfield: Loved it.

Waghorn up top: Would prefer Martin but obviously can't play 90 every game...

Having opinion is what it’s about but then at appears to be classed as moaners .

I love DCFC but I should be allowed to disagree with team selection and club policy etc

You are. I don't agree with many of your opinions but so what?
