Only a Sith deals in absolutes, but moreso than any other religious demographic.

Wow that's really interesting. Thanks for the link. It would be depressing to think party strategists used information like this to skew their policies, but it seems I must be depressed.

Not sure how accurate the figures are, but the EU aviation regulatory body we are ditching on 31st Dec apparently cost us £4m a year, it's going to cost us £35m when we go it alone.

The cost of setting up our own air saftey authority, will look miniscule when put alongside the costs we will face after leaving all the other EU regulatory bodies and research group and have to set up and run these bodies ourselves.

It  not just the extra financial cost  that are worrying.  Our government are planning to stop being members of the European Arrest Warrant system. By leaving the EAW  it will no longer be easy to arrest and then extradite British criminals back from EU countries.

As for the promise to take back control of our own borders. We will also no longer automatically receive information about criminals from EU countries. Meaning it will be harder for us to identify and stop these  criminals entering the UK.

I don't get why is should be so hard, or expensive.

Can't we just offer to pay a proportionate amount that these services cost to run, and remain a member of such schemes?

We could call it "not leaving the EU".

Heretics like you will be the first to be rounded up. You actually want us to surrender to the Germans? What about World War 2?

The below could be a way for the Brexit liars like Johnson and Gove to support staying in the EU and not totally destory their reputation. One of the main reasons to stay in the EU was so we could co-operate well with our friends and neighbours in times of crisis. You can see them not been as willing to help us out after some of the bile certain MPs have been coming out with over the last few years.

Would be ironic if Johnson has to go begging to the EU for help, after it was his lies, whilst working for the Telegraph in Brussels, that were a major factor in making so many people unfairly despise the EU. He made up the bendy bananas story for example.

"Labour leadership candidate Lisa Nandy urged the government to extend the Brexit transition period beyond December 2020, to deal with the impact of the virus.

“Our businesses and our communities cannot cope with more uncertainty during this pandemic. British companies who trade with the EU do not know what terms they’ll be trading on in 10 months’ time. Add to this the falling demand and disruption created by coronavirus and it is reasonable to expect many businesses will not survive,” she wrote in the Guardian, adding, “This must happen now.” The government has insisted it has no intention to extending the deadline."

We should have been out by now.  It’s the anti democratic remainers who support an anti democratic EU Parliament  that are the problem and always will be because they want to give away our democratic rights and sovereignty no wonder so many people wanted to leave.

You do know that your smouldering hatred for the EU, built up for a number of years, was based on a pack of lies?

First line of Wikipedia: The European Arrest Warrant (EAW) is an arrest warrant valid throughout all member states of the European Union (EU).

We're not in the EU any more, so we can't be in EU systems & organisations any more. That's obvious, isn't it?. It doesn't mean that we can't have a seperate agreement with the EU like other countries have. It'll just be called something else.

You keep banging on about democracy, but remember under a true democracy, a genius will be out voted by two retards.

Well that should be fun when Trump invades Iran. A colleague of mine once "parked" some of the money he owed to the taxman in chemicals shares just before Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait. Ouch!

Heck, haven’t we got enough to worry about without suggesting such a thing.

surely even Trump isn’t stupid enough to consider an invasion of Iran especially with their current Coronavirus problems. I don’t think we need any more scaremongering, there are enough real and present threats to concern us just now.

Sorry for being such a moaning minnie, but I sincerely believe that Trump is stupid enough to do anything and the newspapers are full of evidence for this every day. He is a nutter. Presumably the world's fund managers also feel the same, because corinavirus isn't the only reason why oil shares are at a 20-year low.

One of the first things Johnson did after the election was to 'elevate' Goldsmith and Morgan to the house of Lords so they could sit, unelected, in cabinet. Where were your democratic principles then?

I suspect that Johnson is secretly thanking his lucky stars that Covid-19 is giving him a lifeline to play. If we end up in full lockdown like Italy - the economic shock that will cause, plus the absolute side-tracking of government into dealing with the crisis will leave them no choice but to request an extension. The fortuitous points being that there will be no resistance from the other member states (as they will be in a similar boat and we'll be the least of their worries) - and even the most rampant swivel-eyed brexiteer must agree it would be fooolhardy to press on with a Dec 31st exit if we've lost half the (already too short) transition period to Covid-19 issues

Stand by.

Method 1 Throwing from Standing Position

Locate your target before you ready your grenade. Unlike firearms, there's no way to "point" a grenade at your enemies so that is selectively deals to damage to them ...

Grab your grenade in your throwing hand. When you've found a target and you're ready to throw, grab your grenade in the hand you usually use for throwing.

Pull the pin with your non-throwing hand. Grip the ring on the side of the lever mechanism by slipping a finger through it and remove it with a pulling action.

Throw grenade.

Drop to ground or seek cover.

Remember, once you have pulled the pin, Mr. Grenade is no longer your friend.

I agree he is insane but I thought I’d heard the other reason for the tumbling oil prices is the disagreement (was looking for a stronger word) between Russia and Saudi Arabia. I really don’t think a US invasion of Iran is remotely imminent.
