@Andicis and @Millenniumram, I think you both are missing they key thing here. No doubt Dybala is better overall player than Lukaku, but IMO he doesn't fit to Sarri's tactics at all. Well, to be honest, there's not many team anymore which has a use for players like Dybala... Atletico Madrid is pretty much only top team at the moment.

Most likely Sarri will use Ronaldo on the left, like he has done in friendlies and so far Mandzukic has played as a striker. In that role, Lukaku would be perfect fit as he would only need to concentrate on finishing. Most likely he could repeat or even better his Everton stats, goal every 1,8 game and those are some stunning stats.

Another of the instant fame brigade. Views RBL as the next step in his career, presumably looking for a well paid permanent deal, makes a few European appearances and gets a mega money move to a top 5 or 6 team without ever having to break into the Everton side or prove it in the EPL.

Instant fame brigade?!? He’s going to prove himself at a high level club where they nurture young talent more so than they do in the prem.

You’ve probably got a point, he’s quite ridged on playing 433 possession football, which perhaps a stronger player like Lukaku is more suited to- though I wouldn’t go as far to say dybala couldn’t play in a team like that, or most other elite teams. If he’s buying Lukaku for his finishing though then he’s gonna need to up for some serious coaching because he’s proper lost his touch in recent years.

Good price for him. Exceptional player.

He made the right decision to dodge us/Rowett to continue his progression in Germany.

A promising kid at Charlton followed a big move to Everton where he did nothing basically and popped over the Germany for a few months where he did ok for me exceptional players are the Kinkladze’s of this world

Would have only been a loan when we were linked under Rowett but he could have been a real gamechanger in the championship for us.

Put him next to Yakubu, Eidur Gudjohnsen and a few others with the ones that got away

Great signing for Arsenal that, wouldn’t have thought he’d leave Lille for them. Great player with some serious numbers from what I can see, lot of goals for a winger. Whether his all round game maybe stops a higher move idk, but Arsenal have done well. Lot of money but probably a fair price for someone if his quality

Question is how much you think he will be able to translate from the French league to the Premier League. Without meaning to be disrespectful, Ligue 1 isn't notorious for great defending. That being said, if he can make the transition he looks like he could be some player. Liverpool and Chelsea are the top clubs without big signings so far, Chelsea for obvious reasons. Can only see Chelsea outside of the top 4.

Yeah it’s always a risk buying from abroad like that, probably why no one else took a gamble. Would suspect liverpool will make some decent big signings yet, probably leaving it late like us. Chelsea are gonna be extremely lucky to make top 4 with the mess they’re in, and with Lampard in charge.

No idea who this Sunjic bloke is or if he’s any good, but have to agree Crowley was a brilliant signing, only really his strength in question, everything else he’s very good at. Some decent business being done by Birmingham Who have ffp concerns, so there’s not really any excuse for us other than a lack of imagination. Long term deal for this lad mind, but at his age it’s probably fair. Big fee but at his age that could prove a bargain, all about future value in the transfer market these days. As much as foreign signings are a risk, I do wish we’d have a little bit more range to our recruitment.

All the Championship transfers so far. Only Boro have less in’s than us.

Not many of the established clubs appear to have strengthened much by the looks of that.

The club's who've spent money either have parachute payments or have sold a player or 2 for a significant fee.

Boro, Preston, Hull, Reading & Sheff Wed have done as little business as we have so far.

Leeds have added Helder Costa but lost Jansson & Saiz. Brizzle have signed up 2 loanees from last season but lost a few including Lloyd Kelly.

Cardiff & Fulham haven't added many but have added smartly. Stoke have gone scattergun again without appearing to have significantly strengthened.

Brentford look the most interesting of the lot, but again have lost plenty.

All in all its been a pretty quiet summer of transfer activity in the Championship so far, not just at Derby.

Good player mcburnie without doubt, got great numbers last season though I wonder if that masks a little bit of his overall play. Young too so seems a decent long term signing for sheff U on that long term contract. That fee is just ridiculous though, and shows the way football is going.

The Harry maguire transfer makes the point even more apparent. Again, good player is maguire don’t get me wrong, solid and reliable, exactly what United need. Impressed at Leicester and is clearly ready for a move into Europe. But 85m?! We’re not talking a defender at a top side who’s one of the best in the world. Maguire isn’t even close to that standard. Wasn’t that long ago this would have been 20m tops. Mental. With that offered accepted though, it won’t be long before this one Is done.
