Waghorn actually scored more goals in open play than Vydra laste season.

Vydra 22 goals, 4 assists, 7 penalties

waghorn 16 goals, 11 assists, 0 penalties

Intresting that we had someone who actually scored penalties at a higher percentage than 50%

He's not, and we probably won't be handing over £8m for him.

I thought we'd done this to death already?

Well some of us are like 12 pages behind having not been able to log in again until this morning

I assumed he was going to be a cheap option rather than the lad from Peterborough - £5m would still be punchy for him

Two important things, which I think may put us off:

"has included talk of the deal being heavily clause based and that’s something that Evans is not prepared to entertain."
and
"Town have already turned down a £5m bid for Waghorn from Sheffield United"

Depends what we call dosh - could be money could be players could be a field full of unspoiled veg - you just don’t know with the tractor boys

Any idea if this was a full £5m up front or just a £5m deal total

The most i would want us to pay is £4 million, he is 28 and an average championship player. Go get marriott and douglas and leave it at that. We already have 5 strikers at the club and i wouldnt mind losing at least 4 of them not add to an already ageing stroke force. Keep Martyn and get Marriott then look at an under 23.

I see what you did there. A nod to Rowetts Stoke aged signings. Very clever.

or it could have just been a typo, in which case not very clever!
