Sad times. Replacing Ward, Russell and Dawkins with Anya, Lawrence and Weimann at a net cost of £12m. If you really want to slash your wrists, we paid more for Johnson than we got for Hughes. No manager has thrown any players into first team action less 4 mins for Thomas. Some sink, some swim, we don’t know.

His decision making in the final third is atrocious, always has been. Johnny Russell 2.0 bang on ,no end product just like Russell

Starting early in the window trying to get some bidding war started for their prized possession. Yet our Gary got Hughes to Watford as soon as they started flirting!! Ince wasn't far behind. Really milked the cash cow there didn't we?

If you take 16/17 out of that, which was an uncharacteristically poor season, then numbers wise he made a direct goal contribution every 156 minutes! It was in the build up that he was crap. Everybody was gushing over him last season saying ‘Johnny’s back’ because he scored a few but personally I thought he was worse than ever! Dreadful! curb
It won't hurt to admit it, but he's crap, isn't he? He tries his best, bless him, but he really is rubbish. When he's gone you'll all be saying how bad he was.

Chester40
He does have a habit of messing up the final ball/shot. Like Raheem Sterling on a very bad day. However, if money is tight and we need to overhaul then he definitely wouldnt be a priority to replace. He's not old, keeps fit, has good attitude if not in the team and can play in several positive...and there is a good player in there that maybe could be coached to another level.
