All of these fees quoted could be structured over years and may also include add ons etc. Think we should be looking to replace individual players and fill gaps rather than saying we have £9m what shall we spend it on. Last season I suspect the purchase of Vydra was on the basis Martin would be sold at the end of his loan deal, so maybe we have to knock off our credit whatever we would have got for Martin. archied Posted August 23, 2017 Share Posted August 23, 2017 I like that rowett is working on the basis that we will not overpay ,, Derby have spent a lot of money that the club doesn't generate since mel came in so to have some surplus banked from sales is a good thing ,, I would be happy enough if we went with what we have now then take a look again in January that way we can let rowett really find out who already at the club can do a job for us in the type of team he wants to build and where we need to strengthen ,,, there's a proper feel to transfer policy now rather than just ill thought out rushed buys and decent players not given a chance before being thrown on the scrap heap at big loss to club ,, that said if jota comes in for big doe I won't complain either ,,, time to trust the man we have given the managers job to Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
