Derby County have completed the signing of Leicester City winger Tom Lawrence, the club have announced.

Lawrence, who scored 11 goals in 36 appearances on-loan at Ipswich Town last season, joins the Championship side for a fee which could rise to £7m.

thats better than expected if true, did expect £8 mill and addons tbh after all the drama over rejecting £7mill ,lets hope we are rewarded this time around

Excellent signing and a proper Ince replacement as promised. Don't know why the hold up but worth persevering with. Fingers crossed for 2 more now.

Erm Ince 10 + goals for the last three seasons

Lawrence 10 + goals last season for Ipswich

Lawrence  2 goals previous seasons for Rotherham Cardiff and Blackburn combined

but we can be hopeful

Why the stupid promotional video thing with the pathetic attempt at being "cool" with the emoji eyes?

Have we learned nothing about overhyping big money signings? Just announce him normally without the crap promo gubbins. Way to pile the pressure on immediately.

Bloody drama queen

We need a couple more signings to further lift the mood around Pride Park. A dominant commanding box to box midfielder who can score a goal and another pacy winger.

This combined with the possible departures of Shakell,  Blackman and couple more fringe players would leave us with a very capable squad.

Over 2 weeks still to go before the market closes.

Am very pleased with this signing, Gary got the deal done in the end and for a good price by the sound of it, he's been doing some very good business so far

He did, apparently we were the only bidders mind, it also looks like one of Rowett 's signings for £400,000 (shotton) is joining Middlesbrough for £3 million - why couldn't we get that out of shotton !

Well there you go, I was hoping we could keep him but that's decent money. Hopefully we'll re-invest it wisely and Lawrence will fit in nicely for you so it's a good deal for all parties involved.

Are you not slightly disappointed it sounds like just an initial £5m? Definitely seems less than everything we've heard.

Look, it was delayed because his dog eat the draft contract at home.

I agree it may of made me look a little foolish.

I assumed the delay had been to film that video - The look on his face may have been the grimace of a man having spent 24 hours locked in a cupboard with Colin Gibson and a camera

Welcome Tom Lawrence, good luck and try to ignore the boos!

Soooooo Rowett's brought in Lawrence, Wisdom, Davies and Hudds and window is not yet shut.

Sure we need to get rid of some, but to get rid you need clubs to be willing to take them on.

Doesn't quite seem a wrist slashing scenario just yet.
