Also I think I think you would know the answer really ie, play Martin in the Nugent/Winnall role
ThePrisoner
What a world where Martin ends up in the Premier League before Derby.
EnigmaRam
All in all that would be a fair price due to his lack of playing time. £50k may seem steep but if I recall our first £25k player was back in 2014 and with all the issues surrounding Fulham and who was doing the deals at the time I can see this being not far from the truth. happy if he stays and happy f he goes for that money and wage release. "I have spoken to those two players about it, they are in agreement with that and it will just be about seeing whether that interest (in them) becomes more concrete. Jack Willow
According to Alan Nixon Sunderland have turned their attention towards Derby County striker Chris Martin as they look to bolster their squad ahead of a relegation battle. After missing out on two Premier League targets, Sunderland will now try to sign Martin from Derby. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/sunderland-target-championship-forward-after-missing-out-on-premier-league-pair/ I also found a one questionable rumor about him going to Glasgow Rangers. MackworthRamIsGod
I'm happy that with Rowett we don't seem to splash silly money on wastes of players. If we get 5 million for Martin I'm confident we won't do a derby and splash the money on Camara and Blackman. We seem to get good value these days. In years to come we will look back and laugh at the times we spent near on 11 million on Johnson and Butterfield.

If it is a loan deal and he is still getting his wages, with the chance to showcase himself with a view to increasing his worth in the summer. I can't see why he would care
