toddy
What we are watching tonight is how a 4-4-2 setup when done properly works and tears up any alternative formation. Brighton look like they have 14 players on the pitch. De sart and Butterfield is a shocking midfield - also its alarming the number of crosses that are coming in to our box. AndyinLiverpool
I don't understand. We win a free kick and a chance to get in in the box and suddenly we are knocking it sideways at half way. I don't understand.
Andrew James
Do you think we will shoot tonight.
Kernow
So blatantly blocking off a player, with no attempts to get the ball, as he's about to run past you isn't a yellow card any more? Right you are...
Coneheadjohn
Bairds our best player ATM. I nearly cursed that one!
Leicester Ram
5 minutes ago, McLovin said: People rightly criticised Pearson for playing Hughes and Bryson in a 2 man midfield but McClaren did the same in 14/15 when we played 4-2-3-1 and did the same at Newcastle by having 2 lightweight defensive midfielders. He seems to have a fetish for lightweight midfielders. Well, we have one heavy weight midfielder, who is out injured tonight and in 14/15 all our DM's were injured too. What is he meant to do, leave the defence protected by one lightweight midfielder instead of two?
robglosta
Vydra has tidy feet. There, struggling for another positive.
cymru
do they pass the ball in training as we can't pass the ball tonight this is a poor team

kingsy1884
I don't see this formation lasting to next season. As soon as Martin is back we will go back to
Andrew James
How did we end up with Bent... we are stuck with him every time the ball goes up it comes back... I still think Brighton are average at best and quite a dirty side. How was Bruno not booked.
Bris Vegas
Biggest difference between the two teams is attitude. Brighton get the ball, they're aggressive and run at our players. They have 5 or 6 capable of carrying the ball and do it as often as possible. It's positive. Aside from Ince we have nobody out there doing this. It's all sideways and backwards slow passing. It's terrible.
ramboy63
This could be any score, men v boys with totally wrong formation being played. Not got a foot on the ball yet,Hughes needs to come on to give us a bit more balance
PistoldPete2
Vydra doing well so far but bent and nugget stranded without a midfield to provide service.
Ellafella
It looks like Brighton are taking candy off a baby...
Viking Wolf
I really am starting to believe we would play better with a mummified corpse then playing Butterfield.
StevoRam
Butterfield has been shocking. His backwards passing and play safe mentality is very aggravating
Derbados
De Sart looks and plays like someone's son who's having a kick around with the bigger boys in the Sunday league If there was a strong gust of wind he'd fall over

I rate Butterfield for what he does but he needs to be playing with people making runs around him, he'll never drive with the ball.
