All season long we've known that we have a weak midfield and lousy forward line. No creative movement at all. Biggest culprit is Butterfield. All Mac has done has instill belief and bring the best out of the inconsistent Ince. Wigan thoroughly depressed me. Now this.

Sako would help.

The good news : a great defence and if we go up it will be like how Burnley did it but they had Gray mind.

Think Chris Martin would offer us great creativity and goals in our forward line mate

That's not the point Alpha. Many of us called for us to strengthen in certain areas even before this game. Today's game just supports the claim that we don't have much strength in depth in certain positions.

How can you strengthen when the window's firmly closed? Now if the situation remains the same on Feb 1 then that's a valid criticism.

That's what I've been trying to get in my head to get something positive out of this, mcclaren can now see basically all the cracks that have been papered over so to speak, so over the next few weeks hopefully we can begin to sort out this issues and become stronger and more consistent across the field

So according to you and @McLovin it had to take us losing heavily for McClaren to see the problems but you two geniuses knew already. At least give Steve a bit of credit, he doesn't just think we're the best team in the world because we were on a good run. If you two can see the problems, the chances are so can he.

When the third one went in did you feel a little twitch in your pants?

But we haven't been able to strengthen have we, so its just hot air until now. Let's see what happens.

You can't strengthen outside the window

and we need to strengthen because the manager you all called for made us weaker

Defence isn't the issue. We don't have much depth in the midfield or up front(where we rely too heavily on Ince producing the goods)

Agree with this. For once could we please have a transfer window where we actually improve the squad rather than fill it with bang average dross. We need an attacking midfielder and a striker and they need to be far better than what we've got. If this doesn't happen we will have yet another 2014/15 type season, but if it does we will be right up there again.
