So's mine, but under the current rules we can have 6 subs. Charlie George Francis Lee Igor Stimac Dave Mackay Will Hughes Terry Hennessey Super sub Frank Wignall Imagine how much a squad like that'd be worth in today's market! Not that I'm being greedy of course.
ilkleyram
At their best for Derby: Shilton, Langan, McFarland, Todd, Nish Eranio, Gemmill, Asanovic, Hinton Hector, George 4-4-2 Anyone that saw him play for Dave Mackay's side and doesn't pick Charlie George is just wrong. No argument or debate. The only current player that gets a sniff of the bench is Will. He would come on for Ace when we were 4-0 up with 5 minutes to play

Bridgford Ram
The keeper always interests me in these sort of teams. I am always surprised when people have picked players from the 80s but not picked Shilton. I get that Poom was good and assume Boulton was good too, but Shilton was Shilton! -----------------------------------------Shilton---------------------------------------- -----------------------------Stimac McGrath Wright ---------------------------- Eranio--------------------------------------------------------------------------Powell -----------------------------Johnson (Seth) Thorne----------------------------- ---------------------------------------Asanovic---------------------------------------- ------------------------------Saunders Wanchope--------------------------------

I was only a kid and obviously access to football and football information was a lot less at the end of the 80s but I always thought Shilton was the best GK in the world when he was with us! Was he ever close to the England squad @RoyMac5? Which keepers was he up against? Corrigan made his England debut in 1976, Clemence in 1972. Banks last appeared in 1972 and Peter Bonetti didn't appear after 1970. Also Peter Shilton spent the period Colin Boulton was at his peak playing for Leicester and Stoke. Hardly fashionable clubs.
