Kanu has done very well in the euros but if you look at his stats throughout his whole career you will see he is not anything special. Average championship player. That said, it's a bit spooky that his sudden increase in form has come just at the right time, while he needs to be in the shop window for a personally lucrative new contract elsewhere, after a career of mediocrity.
