DERBY County are looking to make one or two loan signings and Aston Villa’s right-sided midfielder Marc Albrighton is believed to be on a list of targets.

The window for emergency loans opened on Tuesday and the Rams have started to make enquiries as they face a period of seven games in 22 days.

Albrighton has made 80 appearances for Villa including 29 last season but the 23-year-old has not been involved in the first-team this season.

  • Yep, he's having them Albrighton'd Oh, he's late to the pun party but he arrives in (debatable) style.

I agree Albrighton will help us immensely going forward when we do become a bit one dimensional. The rushing out defending that served Keogh so well last season is holding him back and it has become

  • Kind of signing I wish wouldn't make the news until we had him locked in Derby County Training Centre in Partnership with The University of Derby with a pen in his hand. Being interested means nothi

Yep - exciting news. He has always looked a good player and one who would improve us. He will like the way we play. Let's hope we sign him up.

why not, more realistic than Burke coming here

A winger who likes to beat his man. Yippee

Being interested means nothing if we don't secure the signing.

would be a really good signing, would go straight into most champ teams. go get him nige

Would be happy with this signing

I wouldn't mind this at all, always rated him. However what does concern me is Nigel saying, in regards to a CB coming in on loan "If we can bring one in, we will but it would harsh on the centre halves who have generally defended well to bring somebody in and leave one of them out"

Not if they've been playing **** it isn't!!!!!

Please.

Would be a fantastic signing. Lit up the Premier League a couple of seasons ago and from what I remember is a bit of tricky winger with bags of pace. Would add that needed balance to the team and allow the central midfield players to actually play in centre midfield...

we will be usurped on this now it's public.

Yes please.

Always liked this lad, now go get him Nige and Sam.

If we get this kid it would be an absolute coup.

Out of contract next year too...

Would be great if we could get this lad. I hate public announcements before a player is signed. Hope it's not a publicity thing a sort of "look we're after good players" type thing but never had a chance of getting

Have we not had enough trouble with bits of Brighton this season, let alone going for it Al(l)?

Sorry, but it can barely be called a pun!

Am I the only person to think they have done this to mask up the fact we have just been sponsored by Bet Badger?

Wow

This guy is pure quality, I would be over the moon with this signing

We won't sign him.

Would make the fans too happy.
