The morning after the night before… and what a night!
It was my first game since pre-Covid days and not a bad one to be at. I've read a lot about the recent atmosphere on here but it was something else, barely stopped all night from where we were in the South Stand. And most of the ground by the sounds of it.
Find it hard to fault anyone after that performance. My brief take on things…
Allsop – had little to do (apart from the first save which I've only just seen on the highlights as we missed the first couple of minutes!). Very calm and passing was excellent – both short and long when needed.
Davies – head on everything, experienced 'head' continuing to do the business.
Buchanan – thought he was superb too, particularly for a 1st senior game at centre back. If he can continue that sort of performance Stearman will struggle to get back in.
Byrne – brilliant, some lovely touches both in attack and defence.
Forsyth – looked like the Forsyth of old, marauding down the left. Beautiful bullet header. Bit unfortunate for the own goal I thought, Festy should've really stopped the cross.
Ebosele – please let us keep hold of him! Hull just couldn't handle him when he had the ball. Did the defensive side too (cross for the goal aside). For his goal – thought the chance had gone after his first touch but hit it so sweet into the side netting. Missed his somersault celebration as someone somersaulted over me from the row behind in the aftermath!
    Knight – everywhere as usual.
Bird and Bielik (B&B?) – put these together as they worked really well as a pair. Didn't feel like Bielik did a lot but every time he had the ball he looked effortlessly calm. Praying he can stay fit. Heart in the mouth when he went down towards the end. Thought it was his shoulder again but looked like a knock above the eye as he came off? Hopefully not too serious. Bird playing beyond his years.
Plange – held the ball up well, particularly for someone so young. Ball didn't quite fall for him but worked hard all night.
Lawrence – left the last word for Tommy. He's had a lot of stick on here and in other quarters, some of it arguably deserved. But think he just shaded the MOM from Ebosele for me. He worked soooo hard – in attack, midfield and defence. Multiple clearances in our own 18 yard box. Scored one from being in the right place at the right time and threaded the pass through for Festy's goal. Superb captain's performance.
Thanks to @admira who I met on here for inviting me along.

I still believe every point we get has to be earned but yesterday was a comfortable victory and that’s despite losing nine players in the transfer window and having only one recognised centre half and playing a whole season with very little up front - truly remarkable this season on the football pitch

Someone tell Ashley. He can buy a £50 m asset .. Ebosele I mean … for only £28m . Ashley likes a bargain doesn’t he?

Even if we do go down, the fight will be remembered.
We've still got a chance and we keep making that chance seem better and it's magnificent to watch.

I know Hull weren't up to much, but that first half was an absolute treat.  Players and fans in perfect harmony.
Very enjoyable... And Festy is an absolute stud!  Phwoar!
Of course it was going to be repeated for the second half.  Nobody would expect that, and understandably so, but all in all, a very satisfying evening, and a complete honour to hang back and applaud each and every player off the pitch.
    Bravo, everyone.  ?

Astonishing night. Outplayed them, with the staff, the team and the supporters absolutely unified.
No idea if we can get to 21st, but the will to leave everything on the pitch in pursuit of it is clear.
    Very proud Ram.

Great atmosphere again tonight and credit to the Hull fans as far as I’m aware there was no party when Derby die ballcocks!
love the way this team play football. Thought Plange was immense such good hold up play and Buchanan a great fit at CB. A word on Byrne who has been covering all over the park in recent games epitomising the work rate of the whole team they are just a pleasure to support UTR

I've never been so emotional watching Derby. What we are seeing now will never be forgotten. Rooney has instilled a belief in this group of players that are fighting like duck for the club and each other. The fans are unbelievable, the noise at times tonight was magnificent.
The players, management and fans are giving it there all.

Just how can the games be so enjoyable, when we're in such a desperate situation? Even without the points deductions, the embargo should have relegated us. Yet we're still fighting and looking closer to the great escape with every game.
Hats off to you Wayne Rooney - you've earned your place in Derby County folklore.
Tonight, the whole team contributed. Festy was the real difference though. He's like the secret love child of Paulo Wanchope and roadrunner.

The smile on his face when he gets cheered for receiving the award warms me to the bottom of my heart.
Love Festy, have been wanting him to break through for a couple of seasons now and hope he continues to have an excellent career. Hopefully with us!

Unbelievable game, so glad to be there.
The Brum game we missed, stuck on a broken-down bus.
Caught the train this time, just to be on the safe side.
It none too promptly dropped us off in the middle of fookin nowhere 5 minutes after the Derby connection had left the station, with the next train due at 8pm!
So, a big shout out to a cracking lad called Archie, who let us jump in his taxi so we could make kick off, just about!

Another thing to mention, barely anyone is leaving early. We were 3-1 up but didn’t look a man or woman had left the South Stand, staying until after the FT whistle to continue with the Allez Allez Allez song. As @Ram1988 said, incredible.

As has been posted many times on here we are all Derby fans wanting the club to escape this. It does no good whatsoever having a go at other fan groups - we need to be united to survive. And also as has been posted many times and also clearly states on their website it is very cheap and easy to join RamsTrust - its not on old boys club with a waiting list, huge joining fee and funny handshake. If everyone moaning wants to be more involved just join it or shut up having a go at people really just working as hard as they can to save our club. All the different ways make a difference.
