Burnley have to repay about £80million to MSD before the end of the upcoming season. There's no way they're paying fees for players, unless they generate over £40m in transfer fees. Their parachute payment won't cover their loan repayment.

They could spend up to £10m as they sold pope

I think £8m plus add ons to about £12m plus 20% sell on knights ok but his assists and goals are on the low side

Sell knight you could probably afford to keep birdy and sibley and use the money on a prolific league 1 striker like Sam smith from Cambridge or a really decent loan from premier league + 1-2 other players

I hope the new owner agrees, that's not happening, derby fans have been through enough.

Knights too important to the club, would only sell with a massive offer. That means above 10 million.

Who would be the quality alternative to sign for the club. The clubs under financial restrictions on who can be signed.

I think £8m plus add ons to about £12m plus 20% sell on knights ok but his assists and goals are on the low side

Can’t find much on Glover or Deji, like Mcgoldrick and MacDonald was decent but has gone through a lot health wise…..

Glover was on loan in non league got pace and trickery got something like 6 goals 6 assists only 21 but has a bit of a hot head got lots of yellows and a red. In terms of appearance think a cross between Grealish and Cantwell

Deji - raw pace and I mean pace to put it in context when at united he was the fastest player at the club at all levels - FW but more winger he’s quite gangly think more Wanchope but first touch isn’t great but definitely something we could work with

Who's actually coordinating all these signings is it Rosenoir or someone else at the club?

Am asking as Rosenoir is only on here on an interim basis in the short term and if things don't work out and they're all "his" signings then another manager comes in and wants to start from scratch again, rinse and repeat.

Hopefully isn't a scattergun approach "just" to get numbers in though numbers is what were short of.

I think rosenior and Rooney did then within a few weeks I think we’ll have a DOF that will do it

  6. Hearing some very alarming but all too familiar things about Birmingham City! I know a lot of us have animosity to a certain poor taste anthem adopted by Birmingham and indeed a number of fans and I do remember a ‘few’ in the minority damage PP.

but what this is highlighting is what a complete mess the football pyramid is forest stand to get £90m for going down - what’s the incentive of trying ?

many clubs will go derbys way and May will not come out of it well! We’ve had a good end to the week but all it has shown is a paradox of the statement don’t mend something that doesn’t need fixing - it’s quite ironic our new owner is  in building / Property development as  Prem to EFL to lower leagues need bulldozing and complete restructuring! For me parachute payments and playoffs being scrapped

    According to Nixon

Mcgoldrick we  are ahead of boro he’s local to area and has been on trial

    hourihane and Chester close

2-3 other trials including ex Bournemouth winger , ex nice winger , plus a young goalkeeper

buchannon can go for £400,000 compensation

    Ryan Glover- AFC Bournemouth-  W

    Deji Sotana- Nice -W

    kevin Macdonald- DM

    david Mcgoldrick- CF

these are 4 out of I think 6 trialists im

    aware of

  8. I think it will be 4-3-3

    so essentially

x2 goalkeepers wildsmith + young loan or free

x2 RBs Byrne plus youngster from academy if Byrne goes I’d try Odubajo

x2 leftbacks- Buchanan plus resign Forsyth if Buchanan or Forsyth or both go = young prem loan + academy

x4 Cbs- cashin , Davies ?, stearman? Thomas? Or a loan

x4 CMs - Bird , sibley , bielik , knight if bielik goes = Macdonald or hourihane

wingers x4 Mendez-Laing , Bourkhouizen, prem loan + free agent either ex nice or Bournemouth

strikers x3-4 Kaz? , Mcgoldrick?, Norwood? Plus prem loan or foreign prolific striker on loan or free

Is the academy recruitment separate to the first team? If so, that’s probably how we attract some younger players. Yes Watson has moved on, and Ebiowei and Plange too. But it was our academy that plucked them from obscurity and gave them a chance, there will be a bunch of premier league academy cast offs who look at us and go “hmmm category 1 academy with a pathway to the first team and a record of young players doing well, I’m in”.

We had a striker from Chelsea and a right back from Spurs on trial in the academy a couple of months back I believe.

Also Rosenior had a decent career at championship and premier league level, he’s well regarded as a coach and while he may not have the celebrity pulling power of Rooney or Lampard I think he will have contacts in the game to use.

Apparently we have a winger on trial from Nice who use to be at united when at united he was the fastest player there

When do we think the first signing either new signing or a contract renewal will be announced?

Davies , Forsyth and stearman- possibly today more like Monday

    barkhuizen, Chester and hourihane- Monday

Mendez- Laing = on trial probably plays against Bradford

  11. I wonder if the third parties are the following:

    A) couhig’s money

    B) lawyer fees

    C) Quantuma’s fees

    D) Locke Road estate handing over Moor Farm

my god it’s a farce!!! It’s got so bad Quantuma is now preset on my IPhone keyboard ??

  12. There’s some wild rumours on a wild day today apparently hourihane and Chester have provisionally signed , Terrell Thomas , bourkhouizen too plus rumours of ex Man U player Gabriel Heinze coming in as a coach I don’t know if this was a pre Rooney thing but I think today might end up being a wild day.

prediction - takeover announced at 4.00 PM

picture of Clowes , rosenior with derby flag 6.00pm

hourihane and chest announced tomorrow morning + Davies , Forsyth , stearman and cashin signed new deals

Byrne , Buchanan, Lawrence gone  by the weekend

plus some wildcards on trial like 5-6 players on trial

  13. My suggestions if the takeover happens

    Free agents

    smithies + wild smith

    odubajo

    Sonny Bradley + Michael Hikiewe

    lansbury or hourihane

    bela / ince / freeman

Smith / barkhuizen or Cornick or May

sign a few league 1+2 and non league players

    like the striker at chesterfield

    + loans

    delap , fish , mcatee , azeez, Gordon ,

Ainsworth's a w*****. Mind you, it would be worth it just to see the look on the ambulance chaser's face.

Haha ? yeah but let’s be honest he’s done a brilliant job at a nothing club. So I’d give him a go! I think experience , a fresh start is what’s needed

I think it's fairly nailed on now that Rooney was heavily involved with Kirchner and having Cook and Stretford as part of the team, pretty devastated as I really thought he would lead us back up and had started to play good football.

That being said, it really is a clean slate now, suspect that may well be why Rosenior needed to talk to him before going to Blackpool, fully expect him to be new manager with maybe Curtis as assistant?

I know we will still be a relatively big fish in L1 but that surely will lessen our chances of attracting a higher calibre of players.

I’m sort of glad about that because surely down the line if Rooney had an absolute nightmare he would be unsackable with his agent involved  it would have been a massive conflict of interest
