I’m still in favour of the Brentford b team model I think it’s more about scrapping it and therefore no longer needed. With a B team you buy players likely to make the progress both teams learn the same approach tactics and formation then easier transition

DCFC Admin ‘here’s one for a sonny day’ ☀️ 👀
‘ Derby County are delighted to announce the signing of Sonny Bradley from Luton Town FC on a pre contract agreement.
Sonny has put pen to paper on a deal until 2025.

GK
- re-sign both back ups from last season
RB /RWB Poole or Ward - Lincoln /Peterborough both out of contract
CB - Flint , Bradley , Harding , Robertson ( 2 of these + Roberts)
LB - loan from premier league
CAM- Sell sibley and or knight sign Brannagan
LW - Rodrigues Notts County
RW- the young lad from rangers or fast player from Chesterfield

Rivalry aside even if it was the red dogs sometimes you just have to look objectively and respect and love a game like that

Is that based on anything other than your own opinion?
I appreciate there hasn’t been a decision announced yet, that doesn’t mean anything either way other than we have to wait to find out.
From talking to a few people in football, I actually bumped into a few derby players this week plus a few other EFL players at the bar in borrowash it’s a haven for a efl who’s who

I think we might be a better side without him if Warne undertakes the right recruitment. Don’t get me wrong I loved seeing him play but it’s always alarming when you’re over reliant on a single player. I’d rather three players spread out say 18, 15, 10 goals and we become challengers rather than relying on a 35 year old to get 20 goals which I don’t think we would do next season

Ladapo joined Ipswich on a 3 year deal last summer, played 46 league games and scored 17 goals as they won promotion. While he’s the type of player that would be ideal for us, I’d question Ipswich’s willingness to let him go, our ability to afford him, and his own motivations if he were to drop back to league one, even if it is with the mighty dcfc.
Stranger things have happened though I suppose 🤷🏻♂️Many teams but players to get them up then get rid.
back onto Mcgolderick I am 75% sure he won’t be resigning sadly

I wouldn't be hugely surprised if Knight and Bird go, but Hourihane would be strange. I wouldn't have thought he would command much of a fee these days, and would be better to keep around.
McGoldrick one I find a little unbelievable.
So Ben Osborn is really close to him ( Ben is the co owner of the Lonely Boy Bar in borrowash)
spoke to him and my mate who is the go owner.
mcgolderick is not entirely happy with the situation wants to be playing less football and doesn’t feel he has the fitness for the full games we have in league 1. Also what’s assurance of improvements made to other strikers.
According to Ben Warne has been in conversation with Billy Sharp over a 12 month contract as well as Ender Stevensons and Ollie Norwood. He’s close to Heckingbottom and has enquired about Oswula and Jebbison next season too.
as for Ben Osborn himself his agent had offers from Luton , Villa , Boro, Ipswich and Rangers but he’s decided to sign an 18 month extension

Not a rumour, but how much do we recon that Langstaff fellow from Notts County would cost if Notts fail to go up?
Realistically could be anywhere between £150k - 3m most likely something like this
sell knight - £2.5m + add ons
sign longstaff
£300k + add ons circa 750k if promoted extra £1m
-
Rumours I’ve heard
CB - Robertson joining on a free
CB - Flint like the original poster has already signed
DF/ MF - Hamer from burton
CM - Wing has met Warne
rumoured to be after Saki from Crystal Palace on loan
RW Ogbene from Rotherham for a small fee
LW / FW Warne has gone to scout Rodrigues and Langstaff today + winger a chesterfield
CF - Warne has held talks with Billy Sharp ( according to Ben Osborn )

As Delap has already been mentioned I will throw Ben Osborne into the mix.
Just spoke to Ben’s co owner of a bar in Borrowash bens agreed to resign with United
he also said Mcgolderick is interested in resigning for us but is massively frustrated by being in league 1 and having to play so many little cup matches and that’s one factor he’s not particularly interested by
