    Offers coming back?

    Assessment of the offers?

We're still in the 10ish days timescale.

Obviously, given Quantuma's track record I'd be amazed if we hear anything this week.

Also been no noise to the effect Couhig has been delt with.

Thank you for being a voice of reason?.

I am desperate for a preferencial bidder to be named so we can start planning for next season and tieing up our players to new contracts.

Yeah, I've dropped old Rick boy an email and copied in Dame Margaret Beckett. In their giddy rush to ensure Steve Gibson is not inconvenienced by mere P & S regs applied to everyone else, they've inadvertently turned a 12-gauge on their own tootsies.

The indecent haste with which they've dealt with this matter also rather shines a light on the 24 months+++ they've taken thus far to sanction Derby. Quite amazing how quickly they can make a call when said call serves to protect their own interests rather than those of the clubs they are meant to serve. Given it's apparently quite acceptable to move the P & S 'goalposts' mid-season, clearly a retrospective reduction of the points deductions already applied in said season should provide no challenges whatsoever.

An interesting couple of weeks ahead, methinks!

Thank you. The EFL need legislating they can't make it up as they go along to suit them.

Every time we have a bit of decent news we are slammed back by the EFL moving the goalposts to fit their agenda.

They want us relegated, end of story and it would not surprise me at all if Reading got some of their points back directly from the EFL.

The closer we get to getting out of administration and avoiding relegation, the more the EFL snakes squirm and think of new ways to have us over.

These changes of rules mid season surely cannot be legal from a governing body.

This needs to be brought up in parliament again to stop these crooks from running the league.

    COYR?

I agree. It is clear that the EFL have an agenda against Derby County and it needs to be brought up. The EFL are not fit for purpose!

Plenty of free agents this summer, I imagine that will be alot of our shopping

Plenty of players I'd like to see on that list. We need to sign up the core of our sqaud to a new contract asap then hopefully in the summer we can get at least 4 or 5 free agents to bring in some much needed experience and then a loanee or two using Wayne's connections. We certainly don't need a new starting 11 but we are crying out for some much needed depth.

Then a few young guns to rebolster the under 23s.

  6. I think he has great potential and has shown signs of being a really good player for us moving foward. I would hate to lose him. I just worry that we have trusted him into the first team sooner than planned due to the lack of our sqaud depth and he needs time to build on his experiences in the first team and the physicality of the Championship.

I hope he will play a role for us this season but just mainly from the bench and coming in for the odd game, rather than relying on him week in week out in the starting 11. I don't want to put to much pressure on him too soon.

  7. I think the priority has to be signing up players on longer term contracts to stop them getting picked off in the summer.

I also think a couple of free agents on short term contracts could also really help us in our fight against relegation. Maybe even invite them to train with us for a couple of weeks first. Anyone who is a realistic option ?

I love and hate this idea.

Love the idea to give the EFL another headache, they allowed this and the way they have handled it allows this to happen.

I hate the idea as Reading are an innocent party in this, I would be a hypocrite to sit here.

How can I sit here after 4 months of reading rules and regulations explaining why Boro have no claim and then support this, knowing the stress Reading fans would be going through?

I want the EFL to recognise just what they have done, but not sure I can with a clear conscious agree.

I hope that it's decided on the pitch and doesn't come down to just 3 points difference.

What will really piss me off is when we hear Boro have voted in favour of clarifying rules to make it clear no club can sue another clue.

Bookmark this post. It will happen.

Sidenote, surely this would be down to the new owners to decide, not the administrators?

I still think is unfair how Reading only got a minus 6 after we got 9. I hope the EFL swiftly rectify this so can all move on. The fact it will help us stay up is a bonus ?
