Not quite fella, But if it makes you feel at ease with that post...good on ya.

    Enjoy your day 👏

He actually has spoken. It's part of the story about trying cancel the Palestine peaceful protest. He's one saying that the ex-soldiers and the football fans will be involved to prove Britain isn't broken. I'm paraphrasing as it was about 5 hours ago I read it.

I'm not sure how to take that. 🤣

I don't know if I did something wrong? Should I be arguing against Islamophobia month? For anti-Semitism month? Did I say something wrong?

your points are well made and you're clearly a humanist above all else! Don't worry that someone doesn't get you.

  3. if you think that Israel know exactly where Hamas commanders are hiding, yet didn't know an attack was coming, you're very very naive and gullible.

This has all the hallmarks of an inside job, a set up, a trigger-point, collateral damage to instigate and justify a long-planned and desired cleansing of Palestine and it's innocent people.

Alpha (and others) have been keen to point out the Hamas is NOT Palestine, and it is not representative of the wishes of the Palestinian people. Who gives the orders to Hamas?

I know it's a crude reference, but as we are on a football forum, it may be understandable, when that Derby "fan" send Billy Sharp abuse about his dead child, was he representing all of us Derby fans? Should we all have faced the same response as he did? Well, whilst in no way comparable in terms of seriousness, the grouping of Palestinians and treating them as Hamas is very unfair.

  4. Welcome to the thread. I've not managed to start one of these for a couple of years, but now is the time for many to start planning.

    Here's what I've pencilled in

    • February - Prague - Long weekend with the missus
    • April - Barcelona - Long weekend with the missus
    • June - Stalis, Crete - Week Away with the boys to enjoy the Euros
    • September - Stalis, Crete, Fortnight with the missus to get some sun for her birthday
    • October - Algarve, Portugal, extended break with missus and another couple. Maybe take golf clubs and get a round or two in.

A sign of quite how messed up the world is when the devastation in Acapulco barely made it into my newsfeed and I've only just read about what happened now, a week later.

Rising ocean temperatures led to what they believed to be an imminent tropical storm to rapidly intensify in wind speed at an unprecedented rate within a matter of hours, leaving no time to evacuate or take precaution. Suddenly they were just being hit by 165mph winds

I know that some will yet again dismiss it as "fear mongering" but this actually happened and the science points to it happening again and again as ocean temperatures increase

looking whats happening on the south coast of England today too, it's worrying, however it's not a new thing, just rare. I'd normally joke about some evil villain controlling the weather machine, but I think we are in for a few more challenging weather days in UK in the next few weeks.

Context. We have zero decorations. Reason they stood back was Jax goes nuts when the door bell goes off.

But yeah, vaping. Couldn't make out the flavour, sooner they bring restrictions in to get these out of kids hands the better.

does make you wonder, how, in this day and age, with the knowledge around, how do kids start smoking and vaping?

But in hindsight, surely Cocu did a superb job.

He got us 10th with a poor squad, whist being constantly undermined by Morris and Rooney, bought through youth properly and introduced Bird, Sibley and Knight into the squad. That second season was absolutely no chance his fault, Rooney was hugely overweight and clearly Cocu was being forced to play him.

But but but the football was dire. Isn't that the point now with Warne?

That's disingenuous given the circumstances and you know that.

We do still have Brown, Robinson, Radcliffe and Bardell who haven't had a single minute.

not that it makes a difference, I don't recognise any of those names and do not know if they are any good. My point, disingenuous or otherwise is that Warne is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. People's minds are made up, so highlighting his supposed lack of interest in the academy is futile and moot.

We were t related due to performances we were related due to points deductions so get the whole correct out please. Even though we were relegated I sure as hell preferred that season that season than this one

I'll give you that on Rooney, we looked to play fast and attacking, but no way on Cocu, we were abysmal and as bad as we are now, if not worse. Tried to play a slow dutch way, and failed badly.

He had a game at notts county to put some on. But as we were winning 2 - 1 he didn’t put them on. Cocu and Rooney would have trusted them and bought them on. We had games in the championship where we were winning by 1 goal and Rooney threw them on.

ehat a great confidence boost for academy players to know that the manager doesn’t trust them. He could easily have stuck one on.

is that Cocu who left us in relegation zone and Rooney who we were relegated under?

Make your mind up, do you want a manager to win? or do you want a manager to play kids?

You do realise that since Cocu and Rooney, our academy has been plundered/pillaged for the most talented?

We no longer have the Ebiowei, Plange and co.

3 wins in our last 13 home league games, if my maths is right. No matter what the league table says right now, that's not a sustainable platform to build a promotion challenge on.

The proviso of that "good teams find ways to win when they play badly" argument, is that good teams play well and win the rest of the time, and then find ways to get it done when they don't.  Playing badly all the time, but managing to win some of them, does not make you a good team.

point 1, the season isn't 13 home league games, and poor spells do not define a season. See Sheff Weds run in last season as an example. AS long as there's a good run in there, which Warne has had a couple of already.

point 2, I never said playing badly and winning makes a good team, I said it's a positive thing with room for improvement.
