But even here you show your bias. Who said there are 6,000 civilian deaths? Hamas is a proscribed terrorist group they are not civilians.

who said the whole Palestinian population are members of Hamas? That is ridiculous and disingenuous, and for someone calling out "offensive" comments in this thread, highly hypocritical.

Of course, there are some on here, such as Ramit, who truly believe that Israel deliberately allowed over a thousand of their citizens to be massacred as a pretext to invade Gaza. Will they I wonder now hold that Hamas deliberately bombed the hospital to gain international support? Both as ludicrous as the other

Indeed. Some of the more ludicrous claims about Israel targeting civilians I have tried to call out on .  I find it equally ludicrous that Palestinians would deliberately bomb their own hospital.

both extremes are crass and offensive.

well here is the thing, what is obvious in my mind is that both sides care not for "Joe Public". There is an interview in this thread, posted by REV yesterday, where the spokesman for Israel is asked something like "How do you expect sick and poorly people to flee from the hospital?"..."What if they cannot leave physically?"... Now I may be paraphrasing the questions, but the premise was the same. I won't tell you the response, as I think you should go and watch it. It will answer your questions above. As ludicrous as it sounds, it is the case.

The painful thing for me, not backing a horse in this race, is that the people of Palestine and the people of the Israel border are merely "collateral" in this and there's nothing but soundbytes (for media/PR) to state otherwise, from EITHER side.

    From the analysis of the

operational systems, an enemy rocket barrage was carried out towards #Israel, which passed in the vicinity of the hospital, when it was hit. According to intelligence information, from several sources we have, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed launch that hit the hospital.

Are they so skint that they have to do this?.

I'm about as likely to watch this as I am any of the Harry & Megan self promotion crap.

The likelihood of me watching this is somewhere between nil and zero.

each to their own, but as football fans, and I believe English men (apologies if incorrect), I think it's a great watch. It's certainly not self-promoting. There are many things that you cannot imagine. Like reporters asking Brooklyn, when about 4 years old, if his dad was having an affair and stuff. The press are scum. The reaction after 1998 red card was shocking. I forgot about how bad that was.

He comes out of it with a lot more love and respect from me. Not that he cares. The way Real Madrid and Capello treated him was disgusting and disrespectful, but the way he conducted himself throughout it speaks volumes.

Seriously, give it a watch. Just so you aren't one of those weird people who dismiss something they know nothing about.

ON documentaries, the Ricky Hatton one is good too, as is the Bryan Robson one. If you can find them.

  5. I love Tomori, but the Italian league is not what it once was, and the successful teams are tactically defensive. I feel he needs to move back to a pacier, more attacking league to put himself into the reckoning for a starting England place.

Just my opinion and not based on any factual evidence.

I know him, he does practice what he preaches. Does a lot that people don't know about.

  7. Box office (PPV) has killed boxing. There's almost little to no incentive for a boxer in a smaller nation to get into the sport as they ain't gonna get a shot at a title unless they can sell PPV.

I despair for a once epic sport. It does need a reset.

And I think that problem is that Jews over index in terms of successful people, so non-Jews get bitter and look for conspiracy.

Hisrotically, there were also different to the Christian countries they lived in, so were always outsiders and suffered the same predjudice that different people always have.

Ironically, Jews living within Arab/Muslim countries seemed to suffer much less predjudice. It was our good old Christian ancestors that really didn't seem to like them.

I agree with this. I personally couldn't care less about someone's religion, race or ethnicity. I will however always judge someone on their behaviour and treatment of others. I could go into detail, but that would lead to accusations of bigotry and/or racism. I don't like the way some cultures treat women and gays/lesbians. I am probably becoming more against any/all religion the older I get. I also find myself distressed by gang culture and the devaluing of life that comes with tribal instinct.

My views on Israel (mainly it's power-people) are based on the total disregard for what we'd call "Joe Public" here, that live simple and harmless lives in Palestine.

The media groups in Uk who have biggest influence are BbC and Rupert Murdoch. Neither are Jewish.

So “literally all owned by Israel” isn’t a creation/ embellishment/ exaggeration on your part to create rage?

    11 minutes ago, ariotofmyown said:

I was just thinking the same thing, Murdoch isn't Jewish is he?

    The BBC is publicly owned.

The Daily Mail controlling shareholder doesn't seem to be Jewish, and the Rothmere ownership had their famous support of 1930s Germany too.

The Guardian seems to maybe have some Jewish links in it's ultimate ownership, but has the reputation for being more critical of Israel than more right wing outlets.

Isn't the route of much anti-semitism that Jews were historically allowed to lend money, whereas Christians weren't. And as there is a lot of money to be made in finance, Jewish people punched about their weight in becoming rich and successful?

The BBC are told what to report and what not to report. They are all aligned (national media in big countries) to churn out designed narratives, and any deviation results in sackings. There is no impartiality at all. Every now and then, a new outlet is born, and some of us get excited about the prospect of truly impartial and truthful journalism, but pretty quickly they are bought into line by some form of governance.

I really don't know who controls the narrative or why, and I don't believe 90% of "theories" I read or hear. However, I can spot bullsh*t, even if I don't know the truth.

It isn't a truism really. At least not in its banality. It's what it is used for that is revealing. Where this meme (and similar ones with the same quote) are used - and they crop up quite regularly - it is usually by far right types referring to Jewish business and Jewish media controlling the world. The use of Voltaire's name is to give the conspiracy theory the legitamacy of a proper writer that people have heard of but might not be familar with.

I've seen first hand the censorship and deletion, and discrediting of valid and true observations. In certain circumstances and situations, that quote is relevant. I've seen people's careers attacked and earning power shut down on the basis of their justified criticisms.

Some things may actually be coincidentally linked, however, a lot is subjective/objective depending on mindset.

I respect anyone and everyone's right to believe what they choose to. Myself, I know what is NOT reported in MSM, and on that basis, my beliefs are formed.

  11. i found that carrying the dog outside so she knew what was causing the noise helped. It was was I was already out of the house and she was home alone, and then fireworks started, that she was in bits.

I think my current dog Ralph is fine with the fireworks. He's skittish about things moving though. Like if the wind blows a curtain, he's off hiding under a bed.

Saying The Jews having too much control over anything is not a healthy comment to make in historical context. Even without the history so what? Also there’s  another trope that everything is a conspiracy involving Israel, the Americans, the West etc. All the capitalists sticking together. And conspiracy theories generally like 9/11 being faked or the work of Israel to get support from America etc etc. it really isn’t healthy and has some pretty sinister overtones, not just the work of harmless crackpots.

I don't believe I've said any of those things, but happy to be corrected.

    Here is my quote

"I don't doubt that there have been Hamas attacks, but with everything Israel has reported for at least the last 15years (I've been paying attention), what they report as severe attacks are nowhere near, what they report as attacks in previous years have been children throwing stones from 1/2 a mile away (and being shot dead by Israeli forces). There is plenty of footage of this.

For clarity, Hamas is real, but the media is so one-sided and the media is literally all owned by Israel so all the reporting is biased.

If you want to justify a war, you create/embellish/exaggerate something to create rage."

And yet you quote a neo-nazi in support of your argument.

It wasn't Voltaire who said that...

    https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-voltaire-quote-idUSL1N2UE2LM

fair play on knowing this. I've never had reason to investigate who said something that resonates. Obviously a quote from a horrible person, who I wouldn't align with on principle, however, even evil scumbags can be correct every now and then. Similarly, good people can be wrong. Look how many people believe in different religions. They cannot all be correct. If an evil scumbag looks out of the window and tells you it is raining, the fact he's an evil scumbag doesn't make him incorrect.

I fear @Mostyn6 you have over-snacked on Icke biscuits. Step back from the tin.

I wondered if anyone would say that. But I left Derby in one direction, and G left Derby in the other direction and I've not seen him for 2 years. I've never subscribed to David's sites/newsletters etc, nor read any of his books in entirety. I'll admit that G's support for Palestine over the years has made me pay closer attention, and aligned with what I know to be dishonest and biased mainstream media in almost everything, I don't believe a word I hear on the news.

I will add though, almost everything about the last few years of Covid, Lockdowns, Vaccines, WEF, Cashless society, was all called out by the likes of The Ickes, all dismissed by people like you, and then proven to be more accurate than how reported by the mainstream.

But, as they say, "you do you.. hun". I'm happy to be open-minded about these things.

We have had one poster say there was no evidence of the Hamas attacks

If this is aimed at me, I stand by the comment, but will not argue your beliefs. If you choose to believe what you're told, then that is your right.

Oddly, if you look at the video posted by Rev above, you'll see an Israeli PR guy refuting video evidence highlighting war crimes by Israel.

Do you not find it odd that they order Palestinians to leave the land they desire, under the guise of wanting to crush Hamas, as if Hamas couldn't just leave with the civilians to avoid being crushed.

This has been planned for a long time.

I don't doubt that there have been Hamas attacks, but with everything Israel has reported for at least the last 15years (I've been paying attention), what they report as severe attacks are nowhere near, what they report as attacks in previous years have been children throwing stones from 1/2 a mile away (and being shot dead by Israeli forces). 16. finally got around to watching Sex Education on Netflix, I think I've been previously guilty of pre-judging this as some teen thing without knowing anything about it. Got to hold my hand up and say I was wrong, and I'm really loving it. If you've not seen it, give a couple of episodes a go. It's not too sophisticated, but it is funny and sometimes warming, but on the whole, entertaining.
