I'm fine.

I personally think something like the furlough scheme was always going to upset some, people always miss out with any benefits type scheme.
What I do know is the furlough scheme has undoubtedly saved jobs, where my wife works would have seen redundancies had it not been for furlough, yet not one job has been lost.

I can see a step 4.5 happening 21st June, pubs etc allowed to open up more but work from home where possible to be maintained for a period of time.

But what is the demographic of those people not vaccinated? Young who have a very rare chance of a serious case, or people who have refused? Where is the sense?
Sad as it is with that 20 year old at work, we have to start looking at the bigger picture now. We are a species that needs social interactions in all aspects of our lives.. Mental, commercial, everything.. We can keep running scared of infections until they are proven to be causing pressure elsewhere and even resulting in deaths.
Without having any facts or evidence to support this, I still believe those most at risk will be vulnerable rather than younger people, those who have had the vaccine but have compromised immune systems and the vaccine didnt work as well as expected.
I am one of those, i dont know how well im protected but im now going out again, having shielded i want to take the risk now, if im not that well protected I am by default anyway because of the millions who are as its proven the vaccine helps prevent transmission.
Of course if we get to the point that we look like we are going into a position like we were in January with thousands dying then we have to do something but right now nothing suggests that will happen.
Of course there will be stories of young health people who have died, but then i am sure that happens with other viruses like the FLU.
It would be great if no one was dying but im not sure we will ever get to a covid free place, even places like Australia will have to take a different stance at some point, they cant isolate themselves forever.

Wasn't it reported that Whittaker was on the end of racist abuse online from Derby fan(s) after the goal celebration? I don't think any level of goal celebration is deserving of that. Or any abuse in fact.
I have no issue with a former player celebrating a goal against us, it would annoy me if we had a player who scored against a former club and didn't celebrate.

Kenny Burns 100% pantomime villain, he has just recently moved back to Alllestree he hates us that much.
Is Allestree well known for takeout food?

Schitts Creek was very good.
Can't agree Frasier was poorly written, some excellent very funny farcical situations with very good acting.
Guess it does show that we all like different stuff though.
Life would be most certainly boring if we did all agree.

Surely one of the biggest recipients of this award goes to Billy Davies, gets us promoted and then says I wish it was Preston..what a total tool.

Has Jennifer Anniston ❤️ had work done on her eyes ? I thought it looked like she had but wouldn’t be surprised if I’m wrong.
I think they all have, apart from Matt le blanc who has spent the past decade in an all you can eat

If we are in a 3rd wave threatening loads of lives then what’s the point in the vaccination campaign, it’s already been stated they will work against all variations of Covid. Or am I missing something?
I don't think so. I've been supportive of lockdown but think we are ready now.

Maybe all of the above, but they opened up no adverse effects and now living life normally again. We should do the same come June 21st no questions, no arguments.
I agree. Provided we aren't in some sort of 3rd wave threatening thousands of lives, but nothing I have seen suggests we will be.
Now deaths are low I'd be interested to see the breakdown of died of or died with. I read 2 had died of the Indian variant after 2 doses but do we know it was the cause of death.

Maybe a good indicator of how good having managerial stability can be, ok hes only been manager for 2 and a half years but that is a long time compared with us, and he was at the club for a couple of years before too.
Maybe had we been able to maintain that too we would be in a healthier position.

Population densities per square mile:
London 14,670
Leicester 12,000
Dallas 3,818
Austin 3,059
Houston 3,622
Is the other issue also the number of big cities close to each other in more densely populated countries ? meaning far more commuting and travel between them leading to a greater mixing of people.

Really don't mind, have no strong feelings towards either club, both seem well run and will deserve it.

On way back from a week in isle of wight and think adherence has almost 100%
well organised pubs and cafes, people following rules.
always going to be some people who feel they are superior and shouldn't follow rules sadly.

What do people on here think we should do? Do people think the Indian variant is a problem? Do people think our vacation program will keep us on track? Asking now before captain Hindsight comes on in 4 weeks telling us all what should have happened.
I think it's too early for anyone, sage members included, to be voicing opinions.
We have a 5 week gap for a reason between steps to open up so stick to that. If hospitilsations and deaths remain low, even if we have 8k a day positive tests, continue as we are.
The only way I'd support delaying is if deaths increase substantially, hopefully they wont because those at risk are vaccinated, sadly we can't prevent every death.

What has that to do with the price of eggs? The hospitalisations and deaths are low and if the vaccinations work - which the stats show they do - who is left to get seriously ill and overwhelm the NHS?
Well yeah that's what I'm saying isnt it.

Hardly seems worth it, dont players report back around the 1st July ? Surely they cannot be furloughed then if they are coming in and training?
