Had a new kitchen installed a few years ago, wont say which company but was beset by problems throughout.
The doors are the gloss ones, so the fitter puts them all on, looking good, only i notice that he has placed one of the handles slightly out of alignment with the rest. Hes mumbling about it only being a few mm, but its not level ive paid a lot of money i want it right.
So we have to get two new doors ordered for the particular cupboard. A few weeks later they arrive, fitted, yes...the handles now are in the right place, but hang on a minute....the finish is like a fine orange peel effect where the other doors are perfectly smooth.
Contact head office...the excuse is they are from a different batch, i say but surely they can be smooth like the rest, 'oh you must have got a really good batch the first time', obviously i dont stand for this and eventually they agree to order two new doors.
They arrive, same again, same excuses with a 'little we can do'. I am not happy and the next lot that arrive do eventually sort the issue.
All seems ok until a few months down the line...we have a leak from the sink, and notice its started to crack along the bottom.
Back on the head office....got a crack in the sink, its leaking. Response 'Have you been putting anything hot down the sink?' - 'Yes of course I have' i reply, they say 'That sounds like its it', I reply with 'thats crazy of course we are going to empty hot water from pans etc down the sink'. This goes on, obviously im not having that i cant drain vegetable water etc down the sink.
We end up with two reps from BEKO out who take one look and suggest that the crack is from being fitted incorrectly, when i mention the hot water the reply is along the lines of 'what a load of .........'.

No new kit, no preseason, no retained list, no hint of even free signings, no EFL news... nothing.
I've been happy to not hear bad things for a few weeks but the silence is getting deafening now. What's going on?
no season tickets too..

All that shows is that there are more redneck idiots over here that don’t want It nothing more.
the facts are that everyone that want It over here has had It, we have been able to get It free of charge without even having to produce any ID for well over 2 months everywhere, It is available in every major supermarket, every time you go in there are people asking you if you want It.
my work has had 3 or 4 “clinics” where anyone can go and get It, including family members, friends, neighbours anyone at all. That will be worrying for Biden if everyone who wants it has had it. He has 4th July as a target for 70% of the population? Currently its about 50% at least one dose and 40% two doses, so if everyone who wants it has had it then he will fall along way short of that target.
I guess also if 60% of the population dont want to be fully vaccinated that might explain why younger people have been able to get it as there will no doubt be millions of doses going spare.
So while it might be taking longer in the UK, the take up has been excellent, and from what you are saying it looks like the US is done with its vaccination program but the UK will end up with a far higher percentage of the population vaccinated.

Am confused....you've said in the title that it's an extra days bank holiday but do we still get 8 bank holidays next year or 9....if it's 8 then not extra
Yes its extra. We get 4 days off from Thursday 2nd June. But we lose bank holiday Monday 30th May. But Thursday and Friday are two days compared with one for bank holiday Monday

Once a Ram, Always a Ram should only ever apply to fans. Any player, coach, manager worth their salt should always give their all for whoever is paying the wages. People like Sibley will always be fans but don't expect him not to try and score if he ever plays against us.
Try telling Mick Harford that ?

We did once under nigel clough if only commons goal had gone in that night at old Trafford.
I like nigel but don't think he could take credit for the run, he was only appointed 2 days before the 1st leg and I'm sure he didn't pick the team that night.

London. Easy.
London is great. I have visited lots of capitals but love London, for a capital city its actually reasonably priced to eat and drink with lots to see, open spaces aswell.

One that I find underrated is Dad's Army.
I know that sounds ridiculous because it's widely renowned as an absolute classic. But I don't ever see it put in the same bracket as OFAH, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, etc, i.e. the contenders for the greatest British sitcom of all time.
I don't think I've ever seen a better cast of characters than Dad's Army. You end up loving every single one of them.
that reminds me of another uk series I loved, goodnight sweetheart. Only reminded me because of the nod to dads army in one episode.

Never been. Heard lots of great reports. On the list for me to go to..
I would never have dreamed of it I don't think had I not worked over there.
Its obviously not as touristy as Dublin but I find it far more laid back and cheaper. Lots of Irish bars with live music, good restaurants, plus take in some of the countryside.
lots of interesting things to see relating to the troubles too.

For UK comedies anything Alan Partridge I find funny.

I mean the list goes on, these American sitcoms don’t even come close.
Of course we have some bad ones as well, Mrs Brown’s Boys, that’s right up there with the American nonsense like Friends.
Police Squad was funnier than any of those.

It was just an example, I didn’t check. Okay let’s say via South Georgia ??♂️
I am sure there is some route somewhere yes, but I would expect that the majority of people will have neither the time or funds to do that.

Technically but your flight would not land at T3 which is for the Red leper’s. If you want to find a way, you will.
in more positive news, the guy who flew in from Miami had two visits to check on him. Not calls, visits.
I'm not sure you could even fly to faro? haven't they also banned travel from India etc

The idea of the red routes is that you are karted off to a hotel and have to quarantine there.
The issue really is that I can fly from Mumbai, via Faro in Portugal and then join the green gang.. it’s complicated..Apologies @ariotofmyownhad already answered.
You would still have to hotel quarantine, unless you spend 10 days in Faro.

No chance for the 21st in my opinion mate , the government and scientists seem determined to delay it
Some scientists and the media i would say but the noises from government are opposite of this..this today from the BBC website
Asked about the prime minister's plans amid warnings over the spread of the Indian variant, a No 10 spokesman says: "I was going to point to what the PM said on Thursday."
On Thursday, Johnson said: "I don't see anything currently in the data" to divert from the 21 June target for the next stage of exiting lockdown. But he did concede that "we may need to wait" for more data.
The spokesman continues: "The prime minister has said on a number of occasions that we haven't seen anything in the data but we will continue to look at the data, we will continue to look at the latest scientific evidence as we move through June towards 21 June."

They are ridiculously priced.
Id definitely look at an alternative with someone like Hoseasons. Lots of holiday lodge parks with plenty enough for the kids and adults to do at much lower prices.
