I think Emmanuelle and Derby County have something in common, they both get shafted on a regular basis

I have emailed the sports minister and the football governance review body and my local MP, in case Crouchy won’t deal with my email as I’m not a constituent.
I think all Rams fans should do the same, as the EFL is out of control and not showing any fairness in its approach.
    Every bit helps !!

I would ask you urgently to intervene in the witch-hunt being undertaken by the EFL towards my football club, Derby County.
Having been fined £100 000 yesterday and warned re future accounting practices, following investigation by an independent panel ( for the second time), the EFL continue to press for a points deduction, with an unprecedented aim to relegate the club after the season has finished.
What is the point of an independent panel if its decision is not respected by the regulator ?
I feel the EFL is out of control, is being heavily influenced by third parties and is therefore not acting in a fair and unbiased way.
The EFL needs to be warned by the government about its behaviour towards its member clubs. Currently its approach is verging on bullying and I suspect it will end in the High Court, with the destruction of a founder member of the football league and hundreds of associated redundancies.

I mentioned this in another thread, we weren’t included in the live draw so it must have been done as an afterthought like most things at the efl

Yes i do. Is Gibson selling Boro’s debts to his haulage company shady ? Are Qpr , Bournemouth , Villa , Leicester etc not shady getting promotion by breaking FFP Forests owner allegedly the most shady of all. Shady values ? All transfer values are finger in the air . Get over yourself if you think all other clubs are sweetness and light

Ok if we adopt a siege mentality, which I agree with, that would mean no slagging off the players, the manager or the owner.
Support for the club must be 100% non conditional

The 25 quid is for paying the hundred grand fine. If 4,000 of us chipped 25 quid each, the fans would be paying the fine not the club which I’m positive would piss The EFL off mightily.
And as the poster who first proposed the idea mentioned, it could be good publicity.

That’s about the size of it. Maybe Mr Gibson should be given a welcome to Pride Park in August that he’ll be a long time forgetting.
Now before anybody thinks I’m advocating violence, I’m not, that would be abhorrent,  but abuse and vitriol by the truckload I think is well within reason.

Let’s see this for what it is, a vendetta against Mel Morris and Derby County from the EFL for having the audacity to stand up to them over the TV money and threaten a Premier League 2 which other club owners backed him on, and a vendetta from Steve Gibson and Boro because we beat them to the playoffs (despite Boro having a BIGGER BUDGET THAN WE DID that season!!)
Rather than try to sort out the issues on wages and make the championship a level playing field they just want to wage war against Derby and won’t back down to save face and appease other championship owners who are self interested to the point of being vindicative. We have been screwed over more than any other club because of the ongoing transfer embargoes due to this process and vindictive statements like saying the fixtures are interchangeable. It is beyond shameful.
There is no way we get a points deduction for this breach as there is no precedent.
There is no way a points deduction would be applied retrospectively as again - no precedent
Any deduction will result from new accounts submissions which will be a new charge and hopefully much more simple to determine. That could only apply next season. And it is by no means clear we would breach the limits anyway.
Time to back the club, Mel Morris and Stephen Pearce on this issue

Because of the EFL case! Their case was that simply by filing the accounts with the amortisation method we used was breaking the rules, how could we file new accounts when we had no idea until the conclusion of this case whether we could or could not use that method?

I prefer the parallel universe where either Forsyth, Buxton, or Keogh put it into Wembley's row Z against QPR, we went on to win it in extra time, made a few astute signings, and are now a firmly established premier league outfit...

I'm sure our official explanation is that we switched to this method because we thought it was genuinely a better model for how we consume player assets.
If you want the tinfoil-hat-on version, then maybe we started out doing this in 2015/16(?) because we thought it would be enough to cover us for any potential losses, but when it turned out not to be enough, we sold the stadium to make up the shortfall.  Now the stadium sale is ratified and included, it's enough on it's own to cover the losses without the amortization change.

    Context.
First managerial job, came in when we were bottom of the table, whilst a takeover was on the cards, loan signings picked up injuries which left us with a super thin squad.
You can question his tactics, subs, and all that, but was dealt a difficult hand so the question have we progressed under him is incredibly unfair at the minute.
He did keep us up, forget the points deduction for Wednesday, the Cardiff goal, he kept us up and that’s that task complete.
Progression has to be judged starting this season where he’s had a summer to build the squad, albeit in difficult circumstances still, but level on points with the rest of the league.
As fans I do feel like we need to get off his back, get behind him and hope we have a much better season.
Absolutely nothing to be gained from laying into the guy, booing from the first game of the season. Just be fair, even if you don’t agree with the appointment, give him a chance.
