That 1968/69 tier 2 89 points equivalent from only 42 games was an amazing season, well over 2 points per game average. Decent manager then of course!

    Itโ€™s also my first season.

Every time i watch the highlights i always think its a shame the south stand isnt widened to the whole of the stand and up until the south east corner, then have the away fans along the side of the east stand!

Theres high demand for tickets in it as it always sells out, its great for the atmosphere! With all the flags the last few games it would look even better having the entire stand as home supporters!

I get that season ticket holders in the east stand and there higher ticket prices over there but still, reckon it would increase the atmosphere!

    Up the rams ๐Ÿโšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿโšฝ๏ธ

So you want to move season ticket holders that have been there since Pride Park opened.

If itโ€™s so popular and in high demand they could increase the price inline with the East stand.

  4. In the 1955-56 season in division three north we had 28 wins, 7 draws and 11 defeats giving us 63 points.

Today this would give us 91 points, so this is the one to beat with 2 games to go.

We also scored 110 goals, but we only finished second behind Grimsby Town so we werenโ€™t promoted that season.

The following season we finished top on 63 points but with 26 wins and 11 draws, (89 points now).

The other season where we finished on 63 points, 26 wins and 11 draws ( 89 points now) was in 1968-69 but this was achieved from just 42 matches.

Was very nervous about this one but without need. Most encouraging is how the squad are all pulling together in the run in with key goals coming from unexpected players adams, ward, wilson now Bradley.

Two to go - can we do it? And more importantly can we stay calm and neutral in the home stand at Cambridge? Any tips?

Imagine youโ€™re playing poker and you are holding a Royal flush.

Our STโ€™s are cheap - the money will not be enough to bank roll any rebuild . We better start saving now in case we ever get to the Prem .ย

I have just had a look at season ticket prices for the championship for last season and we arenโ€™t the cheapest and we arenโ€™t the dearest.

In both the cheapest and the most expensive options we are pretty much bang in the middle.

There seems to be an increasing narrative on here that Warne's last stint in the Championship was a success & somehow negates the 3 relegations he'd previously suffered at that level.

Below is the Championship table as at 17th September 2022 - 5 days before he left Rotherham for Derby. Rotherham were in 8th place & had won 3 out of 9 games - all at home. A decent start sure but reality is they were still only 4 points above the bottom 3 & very far from demonstrating they would have been able to survive that full season under Warne.

To show just how this table is misleading in predicting performance over a full season, Wigan were only one point behind Rotherham at that stage but were ultimately comfortably relegated (even if they hadn't been deducted 6 points). Same situation with Reading who sit in 3rd at this stage with 18 points but only accrued another 32 points on the pitch from the last 36 games. On the flip side, Coventry sit bottom here but ended up in the playoff final.

I would also ponder the question that if Rotherham had looked so strong at that point, why would he have considered dropping a division & not wait for an offer from a bigger fellow Championship club? That's what Steven Schumacher did this year swapping another small yo/yo club in Plymouth for a better resourced gig at Stoke.

Also 4 points from third, with a game in hand.
