The EFL are one of the most incompetent sports governing bodies in the entire world. I hate almost everything about they go about their business, especially how they market the league and their long-term aims.
Any governing body discouraging investment is destined to fail, especially when run exclusively with a strategy that creates a substantial unlevel playing field for teams to compete.
You only have to look at the numbers of a Derby County with investment in the squad, against a Derby County without investment in the squad - it's almost a third down on average. Investment, competition... it all generates interest and interest generates money.
There is a reason ALL Premier League clubs overall have attendances 90% plus capacity whereas clubs in the Football League are running just over half.

Tepper is a different animal and is quite honestly a dream owner. He bought the Carolina Panthers in 2018 for $2.3bn and soon after invested even more into sports in Charlotte by expansion in the MLS - a whim that still cost him north of €300m and something that he won't make money back on for a long time, perhaps ever. It's an investment in the growth of the MLS.
He's at the point in his life where he's become a sporting philanthropist - a genuine figure head for the growth of Carolina sports in the States (perhaps the world) and football in America. He could quite comfortably purchase almost any Premier League club and he's shown a desire to be aggressive in his approaches to grow his brand.
Tepper wouldn't be a hands-on owner, but he would pay top dollar to high-end executives who he believed could and there wouldn't be a shortage of people looking to work for him. It would quite honestly be a dream scenario and for that reason I absolutely can't believe that it's even remotely an option.
Kirchner, who has now put himself in the spotlight, is coming off well. As Jordan said, who knows much more about researching business growth than me, the company he has now is ascending to the point where he potentially could be a billionaire in the future. I would guess not know, but it's showing incredible growth in a short amount of time. He seems set up for a long-term investment and has shown the required funds as of now, so perhaps it has the potential to be a good match. He sounds like an intelligent man, something our boardroom has sadly lacked for too many years.

I don't when I get to watch Stafford, however Goff played well yesterday for the most part. He came apart in the end and made the mistake of throwing the ball anywhere near Jalen Ramsey who is playing at an absolutely insanely high level at the moment.
Rams are moving, but it's a shame that Cardinals are moving just as quick. It will be a huge game when we meet again.

I can’t imagine the ‘American Billionaire’ is Chris Kirchner. Kirchner is a successful businessman who has very impressive business, that looks to be ascending from the outside looking in, but significantly off being able to generate a billion.
I would guess the billionaire is someone else otherwise we’re being spoon fed ********. When in all honesty we just want someone with the money to run the club, not necessarily a billionaire, who will make more right decisions than wrong.

I couldn't disagree more. What is best for the club does not always align with the actions of the club.  The way Mel ran the club is case and point.
He borrowed money to hide incompetence in decision making, ironically force feeding us the line that it was all from his own pocket.

Frustrated, definitely, but got to remind ourselves that we’ve got another point deduction round the corner. The EFL aren’t going to allow us to compete to stay up. They want us down.
Enjoy the game for what it is, especially the two goals we scored. Don’t focus on anything else. It’s good for the soul.

If you're a Newcastle fan at this point, considering the fact they've just been taken over by the richest backers in world football, this really doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I really like how Rooney has conducted himself this season and how he has everyone pulling in the same direction, but if I'm the owner of Newcastle then Rooney doesn't even make my top 50 list - possibly top 100. I'd imagine their fans would sooner give Shearer another go than have Rooney become their manager.
