It says to me we have a powerful case with the appeal and EFL are using the leverage of other deductions to stop us doing it.
If the sum total with a closed book remains at 12 then maybe it’s a road we have to go down

I would only be happy with the admin team accepting the 12 point penalty for entering administration, if agreement is made with the EFL to honour the decision of the independent panel re the 100k fine and warning about future accounting practices. Also I would expect the EFL to advise Wycombe and Boro that any legal action would be futile.

EFL may have overplayed their hand here. If they are concerned about the admin deduction and are tying to strike a deal, I hope Mr Hoskings goes for the jugular. We concede the force majeure claim if they concede ERV not expressly outlawed. 12 points, no more and we'll let it go would be my stance, but conversely, we really need a deal done to sell the club...
I wonder who will blink first?

I do not see anything phoney about it. Admin team need to strike a quick deal and cannot fight the FFP thing for another several months as it could delay the sales process. EFL on the other hand stand to lose big time if they lose the administration appeal, as it may seta precedent. So we do a deal. Makes sense to me.   I'm not happy about 15 points deduction as i think that is excessive but if it helps the admin team and they secure a sale I will accept it.

There are bad refs that’s for sure but there are also players who cheat
it’s not the peno’s not won or the divers that get away with it for me. They are instant tough decisions that have to be made.
It’s 2 things .. Lino’s who don’t speak up or are so behind play and simply they don’t see blatant things. That along with inconsistency of cards v type of offence in a single game

Didnt we have a fan run on and confront a Forest player?
Someone who went to the matches from our local was banned for racism.
People in glass houses and all that.
Call the guy out and ban him from football grounds, prosecute him if its an offence worthy of prosecution.
Label their whole club and fans vile? No, not for me I'm afraid.

Millwall as a club do as much as any, if not more, to deter racial or discriminatory behaviour. Their Community arm does some fantastic work in some of the poorest parts of London.
Until society changes and education get through to people, these incidents will continue at grounds all over the country and on social media.
The club can ID and ban those found responsible of racism or discrimination, but beyond that have little control over what is shouted or chanted by supporters once they are in the ground, other than perhaps tannoy announcements if the chants are loud enough.
If someone has shouted something at a player and it's been reported, our only hope is that it's dealt with by the police and club appropriately and other get the message.

Under those circumstances, play our strongest team against Boro, and bring myself and the Memsahib in as centre backs* against any 'rivals' of theirs.

Some very decent managers out of work at the moment, Farke and Smith in the last 24 hours alone and Nuno a few days before that.

Totally agree about our new vermin followers. It's been building for a few years now. Personally I think they're worse than their 80s counterparts. There's a cocky misplaced arrogance about some of the scroats who follow Derby now that I don't remember being there years ago. One incident that stands out from one of my last away trips (I won't go away again) - on the way back from Peterborough one of our 'ultras' couldn't wait to go to the toilet, kept hammering on the loo door and then decided to pee in the carridge in front of a young family who had returned from a holiday, suitcases etc, turned to us and said 'we're all Derby aren't we?' Never felt so ashamed to support Derby. The same geezer and his mates fortunately got their comeuppance at Birmingham City by attempting to 'take' a pub in Digbeth. On this occasion I was glad to witness them spill out of the boozer, wild west style by a much older group of Blues. From what I've heard, a similar thing happened in a Coventry pub the other week too.

It was queuing quite a bit out the door at 1:30 plus a 4 line snake inside. We have 3 weeks to collect but I thought I queue up for old time sake.

I care because he’s on a couple grand a week and I’d be pissed off if he’s being paid to kick it up in the sun in Barbados whilst we’ve had to let go of several of our staff members, who’s jobs could of been saved if he wasn’t stealing a living.

The Efl issued a public statement in March 2019 stating that the only club to have been found in breach of ffp rules for 3 year period period ending 2017/18 was Birmingham City.
So why would we not think our accounts up to then we’re not ok according to Efl?
and we made the disclosures of the amortisation policy in 2016. Wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume if there was anything wrong with that policy Efl would have said so before January 2020?

If you’re not careful we will all end up in tears thinking about those poor recently  promoted clubs and the equally wretched relegated clubs down to their last stale crust.

reducing other teams chances of getting promoted because a handful of other teams are hugely subsidised, is far more toxic than the dilemmas facing those clubs with a hat full of money and how best to spend it.

Yes, commenting on the outcome of an independent appeal body in such a manner is highly suggestive of an agenda against Derby!

They were “disappointed “ that we dated to mention them not giving us the loan for the COVID that they said we weren’t eligible for … forgetting to mention the reason we weren’t eligible us because of their trumped up charges against us.
oh and then they were “shocked” we dared to appeal against the 12 point deduction.
as you say not very professional for any body to be sulking like that .

Are we starting to reach the point where the Athletic write summary articles on slow news days which have nothing new in them?
Anyway - if Kirchner’s company was very low in turnover, he wouldn’t be renting private jets, so whilst he may not have the money we are hoping for, reality is on the middle somewhere

Well one thing we now know pop is reading our posts, not an issue I have read theirs.

so pop, agree with you if PP is sold back at a discount, as Anne Widicombe would say it has something of the night about it. Still unsure  If the EFL have any power. Anyway this sis all conjecture at the moment.
yes we do want a sustainable business plan where we keep within FFfP limits
Pop all we want is to be treated like others FFP ( we only had one high spending year) the rest we financed by sales. How can people talk about Reading getting a smaller  Deduction than us when they overspent by tens of millions, we didn’t
we are trying to bypass anything but I  would not blame a new owner for trying to get a points  Deduction
why don’t you come on this site and debate it
