The players went out today knowing a -12 was the minimum and played their hearts out..

Great game today. From my seat behind the goal in the North Stand I was treated to two goals.
The flight of Bird’s strike left the keeper rooted to the spot and in an effort to redeem himself he flew out and was then completely bamboozled by Curtis’s nod on.
From a physiological point of view a I think we can survive 12 but 21 is totally different.
12 gives us something to fight for and the players will dig in but if it’s 21 they’ll start thinking if it’s worth putting their bodies on the line for a lost cause.
I wonder how many is too much psychological speaking.

The only thing we know is that no one knows. Derby County v the EFL has become a reputation buster for Nixon, Percy,  Nicholson, all of Radio Derby’s news gathering “expertise” and anyone else trying claiming ITK status.

It’s the whole point. The fact that it’s wrong winds them up more. It’s hard for them to counter that chant as they have to somehow explain that it’s the Black Country not Birmingham, by which time you’ve fallen asleep. It’s a bit like calling For*st, Notts For*st on purpose as we do.

It’s certainly not sporting, which is what football is supposed to be.
Gone are the days when the batsman “walked” mores the pity.

In the context of the make up of the championship it seems the only way to compete with parachute payment clubs is to seek out and take advantage of loopholes.

Meanwhile watford FC continue to sell players at inflated prices to their sister club in Italy and in return receive players at reduced cost to meet their finances/ restrictions and have been doing so for years and have at least two promotions on the back of it.
oh look Nottingham forest do the same
meanwhile Wolves benefitted hugely from only loaning half of Portugal national team which no other team was allowed the same option to loan the same players.
I am not saying they should be punished because it’s a loophole close it or restrict it maybe.
the point I am making is that these are loopholes ( still open) but loop holes none the less and what we did was exploit  a loophole that might have Benefited us - it might not have but we currently don’t know that, but little else and what the EFL are doing is massively over the top spurred on by over zealous owners of other clubs and a consistent barrage of targeted negative press.

The club may not be able to answer questions related to ongoing disciplinary issues but they can certainly explain the decision to shut the ticket office.
This decision is so stupid that it defies belief. It is purely a club decision which has had a hugely negative affect on attendances and therefore income.
If we get a answer to this question we may be closer to getting to the bottom of what is really going on.

Morrison won’t be involved in Jamaica’s away games due to covid travel restrictions in those countries.
I suspect he’ll come home after today’s home game.
your point is still valid though, a Friday night game is ridiculous

I thought the idea of an international was to not disadvantage teams who have international players.
Jamaica are away to Costa Rica at 2am Thursday morning.
So with Jozwiak unlikely to feature and Ravel Morrison even less likely to be available then I believe we are being severely compromised by this Friday night kick off.

I can see this line of thought in some respects but I don’t see that cutting off an obvious revenue stream like the ticket office helps to save Mel money.
We can tell from anecdotal evidence on here that people simply haven’t been able to get tickets online or have no access to printers or just prefer dealing with a person face to face. These people haven’t gone or even haven’t renewed their season ticket because of it. Some even see it as a slight to fans. Rather than making things easy the club have made it hard, which many have seen as disrespectful to the loyal and the faithful.

No matter what the other issues are it does not seem sensible to not allow the club to make money through the normal revenue streams that every other club would consider essential. So why should it matter that the other problems are on going.
The cost of employing staff would be easily outweighed by sales.

Just had a look and Swansea’s ticket office is open on match days and the day before home games. So both your examples do have an open ticket office, although for limited periods. Looks like we might be the only club with a permanently closed ticket office then!

Despite this, it really is immaterial what other clubs are doing as I think it is pretty plain that opening ours would help us sell more tickets and sort out supporter’s problems in a professional, timely and effective manner.

How can the same news cause such differing opinions. We have literally got people saying we’re bang to rights take our medicine and move on to those who believe we’ve done nothing wrong and should not accept any punishment whatsoever.
What we have is people making up their own minds based on a hunch. We have no facts here but the speculation is polarising opinion.
The Club must come out with something tangible to explain everything from ticket sales to transfer embargo.
The Club’s reputation amongst fans is in the bin and only the Club can change that.
    Do something about it DCFC!
