Perhaps the usual predictable Leeds/Forest/Boro stuff but I still think its a vocal minority. Most other fans that I talk to seem to have accepted that we have taken our punishment and are showing some character to roll back the deductions on the pitch and will give us due credit if it happens.

I left Derby 30 odd years ago, but wherever I go, and whoever I meet, as soon as they find out I'm a Derby fan, they want to talk football. Not of the Premier League, the Champions League, or the faceless millionaires that play for the big clubs, but of the old days at the BBG, of Brian Clough, THAT season in the Premier League, THAT play off match vs Leeds, Wayne Rooney as a Manager, and why 30k turn up to a relegation fight against Peterborough!
People like us because we are unfashionable, we aren't glamorous, we just love our team, and our city.

I'm with RadioactiveWaste and nottingram on this. It may make more 'correct' decisions but at what cost ? I love that moment of insanity like when Bielik's overhead kick hit the net. I can live with a glance at the ref and assistant to see if they are indicating goal but the forensic examination to try and find something wrong with a goal is just counterproductive in entertainment terms to me at least and I'm happy enough to take my chances with an official's decision, good or bad. I appreciate that not everyone sees it that way.

'Adversity loving'. We as fans can be a bit 'meh' when things are going well/ok and I've sat in full stadium with grumbles and murmurs because we weren't winning comfortably enough but I think recent events have proved that (once again) we are better when we have some kind of adversity. This season may end badly but has been one of the most enjoyable for years due to the togetherness of players and fans.
'Unfashionable' I love meeting Derby fans when you are travelling because we just don't really have glory hunters and you can pretty much guarantee that any Derby fan you meet are the real deal. We aren't glamorous and I rather like that.

Well quite... I might be missing something here but our offences are limited to using a perfectly legal accountancy technique which nevertheless didn't offer a level playing field when compared to other teams using a different practice. Granted, this was clearly done to circumnavigate FFP rules and was done to capitalise on something that was not adequately defined or tied down. It is not that it were fraudulently done in law and the comment from the panel was that we had not made it sufficiently clear that we were doing this.

So that's it isn't it ? The sum total of our 'crimes', for which we got a £100,000 fine and a 9 point deduction which seems more than sufficient. The administration penalty meant that this was now 21 points total and a continuation of a seemingly endless ongoing embargo that has resulted in contract after contract expiring and the loss of millions of pounds of young talent on top of most of our senior pros and barely enough players on the books come the summer to field a team never mind squad. This idea that we have somehow got off lightly is just laughable. To listen to some you'd think we have been involved in match fixing on an epic scale or something.

Perhaps I'm just feeling a bit negative but I can't see that much will come of him meeting the Administrators. He sounded very cocky and self righteous on the interview that he did recently. He'll just say, "OK , give me some money to go away" and the administrators will "no, we can't afford to" and the potential buyers will refuse to bankroll it. The EFL then issue a statement to say that DCFC still hasn't addressed the Wycombe claim properly and therefore can't come out of administration and that it's all the administrators fault that no preferred bidder has been named yet and nothing to do with them....

Despicable behaviour on so many levels. 1) that he was repeatedly and enthusiastically inflicting pain and distress on a defenceless animal, 2) that his ******** of a brother was videoing it for LOLs and 3) that it was done in front of children. What an absolute scumbag.

No no no ! Derby need punishing more, they've hardly had to let anyone go and held onto all their best players ! wah wah wah ?
Frankly it'll take several transfer windows to sort this out. I think we probably need numbers as much as specific positions. Some youth team levels struggling to fill the bench. Obviously we'll have to wait until a takeover is sorted and see what sort of business plan is agreed with the EFL but there's no doubt that we are suffering at all levels now with squad depth or the complete lack of it.
