Jubbs reacted to sage in Watchable telly
I have just finished every series of Shetland. Good storylines and acting.
Got a Nordic Noir feel to it at times. The last 2 series storylines suggest it may br near its endgame though.

U.K. is training Israeli military in Britain (declassifieduk.org)
The UK government has admitted that nine Israeli military aircraft have landed in Britain since the Hamas attacks of 7 October. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has refused to say what those planes are carrying or what they are doing.
The Royal Air Force has sent 48 military aircraft to Israel since it began bombing Gaza. Declassified has further found that Britain has conducted 65 spy missions over Gaza from its vast military and intelligence base on Cyprus.
Almost none of this extent of UK military support for Israel is being reported in the British national media.

Whatever your political positions are, there is no way you could call it a war. Palestine has no army, no navy and no air force. Israel has all these and military support from the UK, the EU and the US. We are flying regular sorties from our base in Cyprus to assist Israel in killing civilians in Palestine.
I have mates in the forces and they are not proud of what they are being asked to do.

Yes I have and I know the scene. I thought both series of White Lotus were great.

I finished it yesterday morning. I didn't mind it but it did annoy me to no end. How hard is it to communicate your feelings?🤣 Feel like 90% of it could've been avoided lol.
Have you seen The White Lotus? The main actor, Leo Woodall, is in the second season of that and he does a certain scene - I haven't been able to look at him the same way since then!

We've been over this so many times. But you clearly cannot grasp it and feel you have to surface whenever the first team win a game.
Ok, here it is again, please try to understand it this time....
We do not "hate" Warne.
We just believe he should do better with the squad he has, the resources that he has available and make better use of the academy.
We do not agree with many of his team selections, his tactics or his substitutions.
Yes, we beat a very poor, low lying Port Vale, rah, rah, rah but can you look further than that - at the longer term future of the club?

He seems to admire the do a job type managers over flair, maybe he thinks keeping it basic is a better strategy for success. He was probably one of the fans that thought we should have gone for Big Sam or Warnock a few years ago.
Edit: Take a look at Ipswich, young manager playing good football, played their way out of L1. We had a young up and coming coach playing decent footy, let him go for this style. What does that tell you.

Had Rosenoir taken us up which I am 100% convinced he would have done either last season or this season, I would trust him 100% to find players of Championship ability.
On the miracle/fluke Warne Ball gets us up, do you trust him to be able to attract any decent players to this club?

So because we've had bad sides before, we should continue to accept that we aren't able to be entertained moving forwards in perpetuity?
Let's all be real here, going from when we were relegated back to the Championship until now, we've had very few managers who have played a worse style than Warne. Clough at least played youth and built a solid core, Rowett had a lot more tactical nous than Warne, and Rooney's football was a lot more compelling.
So to counteract your claim that this is not an oddity, I would argue that this is exceptionally poor football.

We were under the cosh before the penalty anyway. They missed a sitter from about a yard out, that was the only reason it wasn't a draw before the penalty. That second half was only going one way and that was a loss.

Here's my problem with it, and this has been the problem more or less all season:
Win or lose, 9 times out of 10, it is just awful to watch.
I think if we don't go up, he has to go. I'm not even convinced I'd like to see him manage us in the Championship, but he'll have earned the right to have a go at least, if we get there.

And had Warne done his job properly and stuck with the centre back pairing of Nelson and Cashin in a back 4 that brought all the 'success', then Bradley wouldn't have been in the team....

Saw this at the Odeon on Monday evening, very good and far more entertaining than whatever it was I did last night.

The Holdovers
Quite a simple plot, a teacher, a cook and a student remain on campus at a boarding school over Christmas.
Mix of humour and heartbreak, with excellent acting from all 3 main actors (the hiring process for Dominic Sessa is a good read) who had great chemistry throughout. The cinematography was brilliant as well. Superb.

The last time Warne was in League 1 with Rotherham, they were 16 points clear of 3rd at one point and very nearly bottled it, leaving it until the last day to get promoted.

Football is diabolical, no one can seriously enjoy watching this side.
