Kwaku Oduroh looked promising at RB. I'd offer Fozzy a contract tomorrow. Ryan Glover could deffo be one for the U21s... take or leave the others on today's performance. It is only our first friendly though.

Dixon and Aghatise were offered new deals, but so far we haven't heard anything to suggest they're staying.

Black ('n' White) Sheep got a reaction from Carl Sagan in 22/23 Youngsters
Carlos Richards and Darren Robinson are the two obvious ones.
A few other names to possibly look out for:
Riley Moloney (LB) - Looked a great prospect before injury so it'll be interesting to see what he's like when he's fully fit again. Captained England at youth level.
Connor Dixon (CM) - One of the older youth players we have. If he doesn't break through here this season then he probably never will. A hard worker in the middle of the park.
Osazee Aghatise (AM/LW/RW) - Very impressive for the U23s last term. Was surprised we didn't get to see more of him in the first team last season if I'm honest.
Sam Sebagbo (AM) - Maybe not in the league, but would expect him to get a run out in one of the cups. Only 16. Got one hell of a shot on him!
Also, thanks to the last couple of years, there's a need to recruit in both the U21 and U18 age groups... it wouldn't surprise me to see some names that we don't yet know of that have been released from other clubs/picked up from the lower leagues make an impact; like Plange and Ebiowei did last season.

Who we'll find from other academies (that we probably haven't heard of) interests me as much as first-team signings. It's great seeing us pick up relative unknowns that turn out to be just as good as players we could have paid a lot more for!
Looking down the U21s we have, the positions I think we need more strength in are CB and on the wing. George Nunn and Ryan Glover could cover the wing options if deals for them materialise... have we be linked with any young up-and-coming centre-backs or got any on trial that we know of?

Would agree on Odubajo as the Right Back choice if Byrne left (which I hope he doesn't).  QPR had a decent season and he played most of it  for them, so surprised he's being released.

Trafford's already signed on loan at Bolton for the forthcoming season... a promising young GK though!
Odubajo would be my choice for full-back. Very quick and can cover/has covered both sides of defence in the past.

Black ('n' White) Sheep got a reaction from Rammy03 in Derby makes short list for new Great British Railways HQ (now confirmed to be in Derby)
Not football related at all but, if the last season has taught me anything, it's that Derby fans and the people of Derby in general are passionate about their club and their city.
Today, Derby has made the short list of locations that are being considered for the new HQ of Great British Railways (alongside Birmingham, Crewe, Doncaster, Newcastle and York). If Derby gets it, it could create thousands of jobs for the local area and strengthen it's position at the forefront of the rail industry.
A public vote is being taken into consideration in the process and the more votes Derby can get, the stronger the case for making it the preferred choice. A link to the vote is below:
