derby8 got a reaction from SKRam in Massive chance close that gap
28 points in first half of season, 21 deducted, stand on 7.
44 points last season, just stayed up.
So maybe need 37 more, that's 9 more than achieved in the first half of the season.
Could be done...

MSD will get what they're owed. The admins seem to think they will get their CVA with unsecureds. HMRC was potentially problematic but they are apparently playing ball. Wonder whether the timing issues relate more to business plan, sponsors maybe...? And perhaps the particular deal structure Appleby wants, say around the stadium. Ah then of course there is that vile US lawyer

I think everyone should pause and start looking at the positives.
For example, we'll be able to renew our rivalry with Bury and, finally, avenge that record Cup Final defeat.

I don’t think there is any chance that we’ll go into liquidation… but then I:
* Never thought we would have broken FFP rules;
* Never thought we’d go into Administration;
* Never thought we’d have 21 points taken off us;
* Never thought Mel was a wrong ‘un having defended him from pillar to post;
* Never thought we’d need to sell the ground;
* Always thought the powers that he knew why they were doing and believed what they were telling us…
So, perhaps I’m not the best judge!

Derby 4 Grimsby 0 21st December 1986....What a team that was. Plus the first Rams game I went to, I think my expectations were set a bit too high after this win.!

Wouldn’t mind all three joining together, I don’t see any negatives in any of them but lots of positives for a tri party bid for ownership

Quite like the idea of multi-ownership which at one time was usual, have a board of directors made up of the principal share-holders with a chairman and then a chief executive to run the company/club day to day. Derby run on sustainable lines with regular financial updates made public. See how that goes for a few years.

Exactly my thoughts.
The administrators openly said in their early interviews that they would only speak to people who had the financial means to buy the club and take it forward, also all parties were supposed to have shown proof of funds.
If this is true, two of the interested parties at this late stage now can't afford to buy the club themselves and are having to join forces, so how have they been allowed to get this far?
The answer? The administrators are flipping desperate. All this talk of billionaires and countless interested parties may have been true at the beginning, but once they had a look at the numbers they probably ran a mile.
Thankfully we have 2 businessmen who love the club and are at least willing to save the club, for that I am thankful.

Especially if they care about the club. Rather than each not having the funds perhaps they realise they are just in a stronger position to be chosen and revitalise the club if they work together.

Was at the Swindon game, one outstanding memory of that match was how long it took to get there whilst 5 of us were wedged into a fiat panda. Those were the days ??
