First of all,  more fans appeared today than against Huddersfield. More away fans, more fans in the north stand, more in the east and west stand but i couldn't see from the south stand where I was. Logic tells me more fans entered the stadium quite honestly as fewer empty spaces appeared throughout the ground. It was still sparse like 19-21,000 I would guess but higher than against Huddersfield.

On the ticket situation the club have not helped themselves. I've said a few times Hull was a nightmare and it got worse on wednesday thanks to their incompetent dealings. No idea who is running the operation if anyone but they need to be fired immediately for my money, it's an absolute joke. Ditto with home tickets for Boro, it's just absolutely farcical policies that are costing the club tens of thousands of pounds every match.

On the atmosphere it is great at the moment. Our backs are against the wall and we're supporting the club but it's nonsense to suggest it's the diehards who are generating an atmosphere and the 'fickle' fans not turning up responsible for previous problems. If they were turning up it'd be an even bigger fortress quite honestly and even louder. People aren't turning up for a variety of reasons and I don't blame them.

I hate how the club is being run; it feels like they only give a damn about the money we're spending, prising the ticket money out of our hands as the club is being run like the titanic as it's sinking but we're all pretending it's still afloat as the captain says he's trying to right the ship. In this case absolutely 0 information is being given about the health of the ship nor the lifeboat situation, there has been a meeting about the viability of a rescue but we can't possibly know its contents. As an adult I've never been more disenchanted and angry at the management of the club. It's an absolute disgrace and the club honestly doesn't deserve our hard earned money and the sooner mel gets his money, packs up and leaves the damn sight better off we'll be.

But supporting a club is going with the rough as well as the smooth. It's about paying ticket money even when we're poor and in extremely bad circumstances. I still go because I love Derby. I hate the way the club is being run, I don't like Rooney nor Rosenior and I think our footballing plan could easily see us relegated. But I've got to keep going because it's Derby...

Its amazing that those 15k "real" fans were so quiet previously that you could hear a pin drop. As you say surely they would have still been singing all of the time despite the other 10k who were all just sat moaning? What tosh. I think its great that the 15k there today didnt groan or moan even once at the team but instead saved it for fellow fans who for whatever reason havent "bothered" to go to a match yet but would dare have the effrontery to go to the Forest match not to support the team in such a key fixture for us but just to spend the time moaning and groaning.
We went to Peterborough. Most there would probably agree that the vast majority of fans were great that day too singing throughout. Amazing how so many of those non-moaning real fans stopped singing and left immediately when things stopped going our way.

Fans able to go every week just dont know how lucky they are. Perhaps show a little empathy to those who cant instead of attacking them as fickle half fans who are all moaners.  Sorry to keep replying on this but this superior we're the better fans moaning is so tiresome especially from those dont like moaners

Fair to say Rooney’s recruitment under different circumstances would have been a lot different, with hands tied he’s done the best we could have hoped for.
Jagielka is the pick of the bunch for me, looks to be a great signing, his class, experience and reading of the game is there for all to see.
At his age we can’t expect to see him play week in week out, but even his presence will have a positive effect with his knowledge of the game.
Can’t help but question Sheff United’s decision to release him.

Why would I be interested if you're bothered or not, that was never even a consideration when I replied, unless I was being abusive or insulting towards you.
If it were just me that were picking up on your insinuations then I wouldn't be furthering this but other posters are coming to the same conclusion as to what you were implying in your statements.

Again your comment does suggest that those not able to come are the moaners and groaners! Havent been to a home game yet but doesnt mean i sit moaning and groaning. Hate all this we're the best fans type of nonsense

Factors 1 and 3 are the same for all clubs but we appear to have taken the heaviest hit proportionally in drops in match days attendances.
Factors 2 and 4 are singular to our club and have had the most pronounced impact, supporters are voting with their feet.
I also don't like the comments along the line of well if they're not coming to games then they can't be true supporters - if the club are disenfranchising people enough to make them stay away from games then that's absolutely unacceptable.

    With you all the way.
Our transfer record hasn’t been overly impressive either at times, though I will say the free agents Rooney has bought in are a decent benchmark for his transfer business. My main issue is the effect such comment might have on those younger players, unless it’s done as added motivation of course; some might see it as a bit of a kick in the teeth.
I’d like to think at least 3 or 4 of those would be good enough to nail down a place in a decent championship team with the right coaching to bring them on.

The 8 players comment really annoyed me. All that does is pushes the youngsters down the pecking order. Is he saying that Hutchinson, Watson, Sibley, festy, Kornell even bird and Buchanan aren’t good enough? As a fan and Simone who wants the youngsters to thrive and have opportunities I’m sorry, I simply don’t want eight new signings.
    Just my view.

we have played 3 teams tipped to be in a major relegation fight and got 4 points. I'm really not sure why the OP is so excited about our form and crowing. Forest have played coventry, blackburn and bournemouth so they've had a harder set of fixtures. Hughton is a good manager and despite the difficult start he should pick it up for them. Yes, no appointment is a slam dunk but that doesn't mean you don't have a good set of criteria for who you want to manage your club.

Yes it absolute rowlocks. You never read it being spun that actually we failed to capitalise on 11 minutes of extra time when we could have grabbed the victory, it's always put across as some form of bad luck against us.
Both sides had the chance to capitalise on the additional time, Posh did and we didn't but that's down to our bad luck which is rubbish.

I don't agree with you on a number of things Roy, but I'm happy to acknowledge when I think you are absolutely right about something.
Joswiak may not have delivered all that he might have hoped, but he has skill and looks to have responded to his slight mistake last week in the right, positive way.

Does anyone else get frustrated at lines such as "if it wasn't for the 11 minutes of Gibson time" - that is basically ignoring all the good luck that you get and only focusing on specifics. What is the Huddersfield player hadn't missed the shot against Roos? What if the Hull keeper had held onto the Buchanan shot etc
    You can't just ignore events...

Damn right. Too many people judge managers on things like how many games they win. Obviously if you do that then Rooney's going to look bad. But if we concentrate on comparing him to a manager that's lost 3 games on the bounce then his managerial skills become more apparent.
He's had 40 games though so not so much a novice. Although if you compare that to Alex Ferguson... yeah, novice.
    We're lucky to have him.

People wetting the bed after Martin has a good start to the season, again?
He started last season well but completely tailed off -  by the time he got injured his record was 2 goals in 26 championship appearances. He got 5 assists but 4 of them were in his first 5 matches.
We'll see what happens this year now he's got Weimann back alongside him, it seems to be a good little partnership.
Of course I'd have him back, but he chose to leave for a fresh start, more security and a longer contract.
He didn't back himself to earn another year here after the 1-year contract offer, didn't back himself to perform well enough for another club to come in for him after that year was up.
Of course there was also the risk factor of getting injured (which he did!) and finishing a contract while on the treatment table - that hasn't stopped Curtis Davies sticking around, but clearly Chris & Curtis have different priorities.
Again. His decision. We didn't force him to leave ?
    His name's not Chris Martyr

Roos 6.5 - Not a lot do until late one, distribution has been better.
Byrne 7 - Much more solid performance today and looked more comfortable of what he was asked tactically
Buchanan 7 - His pace on the left really helped create width and his shot lead to the goal. Clearly tired quickly and their more to come from him.
Davies 7.5 - Other than an odd ropey pass was rock solid.
Jagielka 8.5 - Don't know what to add to what others have said. You can see why he played in the prem for as long as he did.
Bird 9 - MOM absolutely ran the show and was excellent defensively. The tactical/personnel tweaks really really benefited and allowed him to show what he's about.
Shinnie 6 - Better than against peterborough but a really mixed. Some good tackles and one decent pass but a lot of iffy play on the ball and got lucky to not get punished on a couple occasions. The tactical tweaks helped cover his defeciencies a little.
Morrison 7 - Looks better tactically suited to this role than Lawrence does, really good at getting into space. Would have been higher if he'd have made better decisions in the final third on a couple occasions.
Sibley 7 - We look better for him in the team, not as showy performance as sometimes we see from him but a lot of quality movement off the ball to open the game and a couple really good carries. Need to stick with him
Jozwiak 7.5 - Same as above but a bit brighter. Looked loads better on the left, looks a nightmare when he has time to accelerate and was linking the ball really well.
Baldock 8 - One of the big missing pieces in make working what Rooney wants. Really stretched the game and his movement created space. Will be occasionally frustrating with his finish but he should get others playing better
Forsyth 6.5 - Solid defensively, noticeably worse on the ball than Buchanan which hampered us a bit.
Stretton 6.5 - Worked his socks off the moment he came on and did all he could disrupt and give Hull something to think. Didn't have a huge amount to do.
Stearman 7 - Really solid cameo that helped see the game out. Couple key headers and interceptions.
