Or are you referring to that time Leicester went into administration and shafted all the local businesses around them, because we might be able to do that soon as well if you want.

Why can’t we find someone decent to take us over. Like Leicester, Wolves etc. Seems like we’re just left with the also-rans, the dregs. 
I’d rather Mel carried on than have these chancers take over.

This is what happens when a football club gets into serious financial trouble. When MM took over all I ever wanted was for our football club was to never get into the financial mess ever again promotion to the Premiership would be a bonus.

Mel did actually say on Sunday there would be more information from the club very soon including on the ownership issue didn't he?
 
I assume from that he sort of knows how he intends to take the issue forward.

Villa are one that annoy me. They had to sell their stadium to remain compliant (as we did), but they've had to do that even with parachute payments. The villa fans i worked with at the time really wouldnt shut up about them battering us multiple times, but it would have been embarrasing if we'd been able to compete with them after the money they spent.

My suspicion is that in a year or so, Wolves fans will be fed up that they have reached their glass ceiling and moaning that their owners can’t or won’t take them further. If you asked me to name the most boring team in the Premier League they would be up there.
Leicester have smashed through their glass ceiling and fair play to them for that. They are a model club though, there’s probably 85 teams in the EFL and Premier League who wish they were run so well. And they relied on breaking the rules to get out this league.

Certainly up until 30 June 2018 the money was put in the club via equity.
If reports are true, somehow, despite being owed £80m for the ground, we have managed to accumulate huge debts in the space of 35 months.

ok not that I'm interested in defending Mel but what is he supposed to do?  Best interest of the club is probably to wait until Alonso's option expires then bin him and wait for the next chancer.  All this publicity will not have increased our value

I'd agree - if this was a normal business, but let's be honest - it's not
If the sale offer from Mel was any good, we would have had our hands snapped off by actual real serious business men, and not chancers with shady backgrounds who have already exposed themselves as people who have failed to buy other clubs (because they don't actually have any money)
I doubt any serious consultancies would go anywhere near being involved in trying to sell the club
 

Morris needs to act now in the best interest of the club. Unless alonso gets 35million into an account the efl won’t let him take this club on. If someone lends it him they will then want to know where it came from and if they have interest In the club how do the efl know they won’t want it straight back. The longer this goes on the longer it takes for someone to get this club which could drag into the summer. We have about 5 players no money to buy anyone. If this isn’t resolved soon and they kick him out and get someone in if we think this season was tough next season will be even worse. 
 
we will go into next season with an unqualified manager, an assistant manager who loves talking baalocks  but can’t back it up. A first team coach who is a goalkeeper and a guy from the academy who have no experience. Possible points deduction, an owner who you don’t know if one month will pay the players wages. A squad of 6 players and about 6 loans. Anyone else think of anything to add to that

People saying yesterday was a bad day for the club, I wouldnt say it was that bad after Alonso embarrassed himself so much.

If the deal is 2.5 million and 2.5 million in a year and then 40 million of debt which I assume includes the stadium in that is it just me that thinks that’s an amazing deal. 26 thousand crowds guaranteed when we are allowed back in. Excellent stadium training facilities. Prem clubs going for near 300 million. If you got it right here appointed a manager who knew what they were doing and got a decent scouting network it could make money. Our academy is known for producing quality which will generate money with player sales. I can’t believe no one decent has put in a decent bid yet apart from the fake sheikh and the Spanish crook. 

So it looks as though Alonso`s backer has pulled out then?

Seriously are there any fan groups out there looking at pulling a fans bid together or at least one for partial ownership? I’d be willing to put a few grand in.

Why don't we the fans buy the club from Mel?

I hear that Donald Trump is looking for another business venture.  He seems a viable proposition after our previous prospective buyers.
