Eddie got a reaction from Richard Dastard Lee in The Kirchner-Morris Summit Meeting
That's the headlines sorted in the Daily Mail and Daily Express for the next two years then.

Eddie got a reaction from Hans Datdo-Dishes in Derbyshire CCC - Mickey Arthur Appointed
Mine too - well, my second childhood.
His masterful 64* in the dark at Karachi in 2000 was brilliant to behold. He'd had bigger scores, but that innings was especially valuable. England wins on the subcontinent are rare enough, but when you are ranked as lowly as we were then (as now), they are moments to savour.

Never realised Graham Thorpe was Afghanistan coach. Hopefully, he's alright, one of the heroes of my childhood.

If I remember correctly the COVID Loan that was available was £8.3m. The debt to MSD when he threw his keys on the table was £20m, and to HMRC some £25m plus, plus other debt of some £25m to football clubs, solicitors, charities, shopkeepers, and forum owners.
Mel Morris completely mismanaged our club, and it’s finances, and has never once put his had up and admitted his mistakes. He bought the club with a stadium, and it’s sale should go through with the stadium back in the club’s ownership. He should do the right thing, but after 8 years of failing miserably I won’t hold my breath.

I've not really seen anyone mention this yet but what the bloody hell have the administrators been doing throughout this process?
There seems to have been 2 major issues throughout this process and they seem to have ignored both of them.
Why on earth would you identify someone as the preferred bidder without having an agreement for the most important part of the transaction?
From the outside they've only really done one thing at any great speed during the whole process, and that was letting the EFL bend us over.

My speculation on the matter comes down to this...
If it's a choice between DCFC and MM going bust (and I'm not saying it is, but if it was), I know who I would choose.
Unfortunately, I also know who MM would choose.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Get it out with Optrex.

To be fair, there’s only ever been one obstacle in this takeover. Mel Morris.

I was working at the Stock Exchange at the time, and was (a little bit) involved in the anti-Maxwell protests, and made no secret of my contempt for the man. When I came into the office the day after the news of Cap'n Bob's final flotation, I was asked by my boss "Did you have a good time in the Canary Islands?"

You're absolutely right.
MM: "Who do you want as manager?"
Eddie: "Steve McClaren"
Steve eventually re-joins Derby
What an idiot - listening to me.

Yeah I thought that too. Not necessarily listening to you but bringing him back after sacking him. He should have stuck with him in the first place unless he walked out.

And the people who are doing it aren't the sharpest tools in the box - How do you persuade someone who you entirely depend on but have no real leverage with to 'do the right thing'? That's right, abuse them, send them death threats, propose chants against them, suggest we meet outside their house etc.... It's puerile and entirely counter productive.
