Moving from my lifelong home in Suffolk to Derbyshire to be nearer our team is on the agenda for next year.
I might have to learn to speak to strangers though, not natural behavior in these parts!

I am 64 and told my bosses yesterday that I will retire on the 31st of Jan next year. Sorting the finances with my advisor in July. Won’t have a fortune but should be comfortable.
Not really decided how my time will be filled but with Partner , Grand Kids , probably spending time watching cricket at Derbyshire in the Summer , the Rams in winter ,  connecting with mates seeing bands plus being able to get more time listening to my vinyl I’m sure I’ll be ok.

Good luck and well done. Do you have any kind of plan? It's always said that you should retire into something, rather than just retiring from something. Obviously the something could be anything. Travel, holidays, voluntary work, hobbies etc. You have , hopefully, a very long retirement ahead of you!
I'm terrible for this. Will turn 65 this year, and thinking of stopping at Christmas, as it seems a natural break . Or possibly carry on til the end of the tax year, and finish March 2025.
I won't be stopping though, because there's loads of things I want to do. More a case of I've just had enough of work. Like you, been full time since aged 16.
I have no interest in doing the vast majority of what a lot of retired people seem to want to do. But I'm going to have to find something, and some kind of structure to stick to.

3 more days for me and then I'm done; giving it all up at 58 so a fair few years early.
Any tips and advice from those that have done it? I've worked full time since I was 16 so I know it's going to be life changing but unsure what to expect!

I retired at 53 from RR, Took my pension and chilled out for 6 months, Then re set, I went and worked part time, I did this for 13 years, Chilled out between jobs when I felt my time there was up so moved on to other PT work...mostly cleaning or supervising cleaners.
Now retired fulltime...I'm 68 today 😊 🎂 and I find life is great and I enjoy everyday 👍

I disagree with play-offs. You've done enough to prove yourself over 46 matches, to finish 3rd in my opinion. Seems unfair you could fail to gain promotion to a team in 6th, finishing say,  20 points behind you and winning the play-offs

After 45 games it all comes down to this. Us or Bolton? The Rams the red hot favourites, with the best defence in the division playing the team bottom and long-since relegated. And needing only a draw. You can see why the bookies have us 1000/1 on but as a Derby fan I'm still nervous and feel it's going to be a long week.
Thrilled to be there. Will be thinking of Daniel who I never met, but who I exchanged posts with on this forum, and whose calls to arms I always loved. Will be remembering being at the BBG 49 years earlier to see the Rams lift the First Division title against Carlisle. Am with some of the same friends who came to the Derby Crystal Palace game with me, and we recreated Robbie van der Laan's header with on the pitch afterwards. Will be remembering the time Stephen Pearson scored his goal to send us into delirium at Wembley.
Will be thanking David Clowes for saving our club when all seemed lost. Darkest before the dawn. He deserves a fantastic day in which, yet again, and for only the third time in our history, Derby lift themselves out of the third tier after a two-season stint. But we have to do it first. Let's hope the players keep their eyes on the prize, backed all the way by long-suffering fans who do deserve some joy after the last few years.
    Come on you Rams!

Remember the amount of bile directed at Mike Ashley and his Sports Direct empire.
He clearly is a bit of a nob and some of his business practises were unsavoury.
But compared to this guy, he's an absolute angel. Finally he might get the spotlight turned on him.

If so wouldn’t be surprised if the EFL charged them for playing weakened teams . It won’t matter as we will beat Carlisle 🐏🐏🐏

Don’t think they would want to go into the play offs having been smashed by Bolton. Would hope that they put a stronger , if not their strongest team out.

I think it can be argued that the midfield is better without Hourihane, but I'm not sure how you can say as much about Bird's absence. He's our best CM by some way and with Ebou to run the hard yards alongside him, I'd wager Max will prosper.
I guess his ability aside, another thing would be that he's come through the academy and we've watched him grow as a player, so there's some loyalty and affection for the lad from many fans and this is probably heightened by this being his last game. Most fans will have noted that he also stuck by us though the worst of the recent troubles, at a time when he was our most saleable asset and could easily have found better paid employment at a higher level elsewhere.
Just an alternative opinion, but if Max is looking OK in training, I'd definitely start him as a swap for Corey Smith, with the latter taking over around the 60 minute mark. Be nice to see Max leave the field for the last time, to rapturous applause from the Rams faithful, having just watched him boss Carlisle.
As it is, I'm remarkably calm about it all anyway. I think we'll win well whether Bird starts, or not.

I know we’d should be all nice to Cardiff this off season as we all want them to let us have Ebou, but this is feckin disgusting behaviour. Their chairman is as bad as Courig and the dog finger up North…

There is a big difference in law between saying "it’s like a mafia gang statement" to saying something like "Evangelos Marinakis is in a mafia gang". No one with any legal knowledge would advise them to take that to litigation, its just meant to have a chilling effect on critics.
The only other explanation is that fatty is indeed in the mafia.
