Ed Dawes said on the radio this week that David Tepper was a name mentioned to him. He also said he was in touch with other potential buyers for the club and when he mentioned David Tepper to them it was straight batted back.
That's the only vague snippet of a rumour.

I'm no lawyer but I'm presuming the suing is regarding administration as surely they cannot be suing us for FFP as we haven't been penalised for that yet and I'm under the impression you cannot sue on hypotheticals?
Yes it's true had we gone in to administration last season they would still be in the Championship, we never, so frankly tough t*ts. It's not like the owners took the decision lightly and thought let's go in to administration next season because Wycombe LOLZ, no it's a combination of Covid and chancers parading as legit business owners and that came to a head this season.
I can guarantee that Cardiff, Peterborough, Hull and Barnsley are all happy we went in to administration this season and not last season looking at the league.
You see, going in to administration always benefits the teams around them the club going in to administration whenever that should happen and Wycombe lost out on this benefit, treating it like it was some form of vendetta against them is frankly ridiculous, it's harsh luck but so was Zamora's late winner.
That's football you dust yourself off, get back on your feet and go again, you don't go suing like some Karen that wants to speak to the manager.

    BREAKING:
Bury FC are suing Derby County FC, as Derby failed to get drawn against Watford at any stage of the 2018/19 FA Cup.
Due to Derby County beginning with the letter D, this ensured they were never allocated a draw number that was subsequently picked to play Watford.  Bury claim that Derby County should have ensured that their name began with the letter M, thus ensuring that they would have drawn Watford in the 4th Round, instead of Newcastle, thus offering a 50% chance that Watford might have lost!
Due to this, it allowed Watford to have a nigh on unopposed run the final, where they succumbed to a 6-0 defeat to Manchester City, thus taking away Bury's 116 year exclusive hold on the all-time record win in an FA Cup Final.
Bury will also be claiming damages for the mental anguish thereupon caused to their supporters, as Man City are based in Manchester, is quite close to Bury, if only in geographical terms, so it is argued that there's also a bit of local rivalry thing going on too.
A Derby County Spokesperson has argued that "There is absolutely no chance of us having a 50% chance of beating Watford, so duck 'em!

Charlton Athletic are set to sue Derby County for £25 million after the ball burst in the 1946 FA Cup Final. If it hadn’t burst then we might have won or got some good players or something, said a Charlton spokesman. Meanwhile Ipswich Town also announced they were going to sue Derby County due to some reason or other. We might have won more games if they hadn’t beaten us in them, cited an Ipswich spokesman. It simply wasn’t fair that they had better players and scored more goals. We want £40 million and Martyn Waghorn back.
Meanwhile American fast food chain McDonalds announced that they were going to sue Derby County for fielding a player with their brand name. Flagrant breach of copyright, claimed a spokesman for the evil corporation.
In other news the EFL announced a further 9 points deduction for Derby County after the midlands side finished their 0-0 draw against Swansea with 5 full backs on the pitch. Everyone knows you should have two full backs, said a source close to Rick Parry. Derby ended the game with 5 players who full back could be considered their tecognised position. That is clearly too many. We checked the rules but couldn’t find anything specific about this so we all agreed that 3 points per extra full back sounded about right.

Meanwhile Wycombe have announced they aren’t going to sue Derby County for getting them relegated by buying Nick Blackman when they were two leagues below after they realised it was totally ridiculous and so far fetched as to be laughable.

*Has anything ever gone wrong with your football club? Not won enough points? Let in last minute winners to players who can’t even drive and park their car properly? Why not sue Derby County? Contact Gibson and Parry Solicitors for your claim form.

I understand Wycombe's feeling a bit harshly done here but what I don't understand why is it with us? EFL hasn't deducted us points for FFP breaches... yet. So are they suing because we went in to administration this season and not last season?? If so, then surely they'd get laughed out of court.
If / when the EFL does give us a point penalty for FFP then again it was not our decision when they actually dock us these points.

If clubs file for administration as a result of Derby successfully appealing the deduction, then it's highly likely those clubs will fail their own appeals... evidence will point towards Covid not being the cause of them going into administration.

Ambition is measured on a club by club basis, Man Utds ambition is to win the Premier League, Norwich's ambition is to stay in the Premier League.
Before the administration our ambitions were always to be like Burnley, Wolves, Crystal Palace, Southampton a stable (for the most part) mid-table Premier League club.
It's nice to dream in football but you have to be grounded and realistic as well, the teams I listed above and Newcastle are also in this bracket mostly get this, mid-table and if Europe (Europa) is close than that can be considered an excellent season but it seems Newcastle fans ambitions are more in line with the Man Utd, Chelsea etc and that's unrealistic.
