Maybe it's worth betting on Bolton! Then, if we don't make it, it'd be quite a nice bit of compensation!
that's not a bad idea, £9 on Bolton and a quid on Peterborough either Derby get promoted or I'm in £594 or £250.
EDIT: Not sure where you got them odds @Kernow from but it's not 66/1 Bolton or 250/1 Peterborough, sadly my masterplan cannot work but let's be honest WE'RE GETTING PROMOTED!!! COYR!

To be fair I bet Burton beating Reading didn't help us, Cambridge would have known Burton were winning, meaning they needed something from this match almost as much as we did.

You can see the potential, can't help but feel he's better suited to Championship football, against a higher calibre of player. I think we saw this against Portsmouth last night.
When it becomes a scrappy physical league one dog fight is where we'll lose him a bit.

Who said refs in League One were crap? I like this one.

Heart says a good bounce back after a good kick up the arse after Tuesday's result 3-0 Derby.
My head says 0-0

I'm not sure what the answer is tbh. The midfield of Adams, Bird and Smith was fine imo and much better with Hourihane. And yet we still don't create much if NML is off form.
Same, not sure on the answer either but we're not paid to find an answer, Warne is.
But sadly he's sat right next to us in this boat.

Undone by two individual errors tonight.
Wildsmiths just plan stupid foul and a badly misplaced pass from Adams.
Missing Collins up front.
Onto the next one.
I bet that's almost word for word Warne's post match interview.

He'll say his usual on to the next one with some random joke/pun... NO show a bit of seriousness, this isn't going right show some god damn determination.
Seems like a nice bloke you'd have a pint with and a bit of banter in the pub but not managing your club.
I liked him and was prepared to give him a transfer window but this isn't working and if we're honest it's never worked under him. The squad we have should be up there regardless of who is managing us.

Lovely move but I think NML just smashed someone's lounge window

fify, wish these "journalists" were a bit more honest.

I'm no manager but is Warne really watching this dross and thinking, yeah we don't need to change anything just yet?
-
I'm just wondering if it's our far too heavy passes or our dodgy first touches.

Derby will probably throw £300-400k into the deal following promotion
Agreed, I think they're the types of deals we should be doing, small(ish) fee up front with remainder pending upon promotion.

He only managed to disallow a legit goal. It’s progress I suppose.
To be fair offsides are usually the linesman's call rather than the refs.

We've got a game in hand from 3 teams directly above us, we win at Cheltenham on Saturday (which we really should) we're right in the mix of the place-off spots and knocking on the door of the top 3. Shows how close this league is really.

Portsmouth 17 league games unbeaten, so no surprise it's a close game.

Davies got a lot of deserved credit for signing a waiver to help the cause on the final game of the season and went on to become a Derby icon for what he did for the badge that day. However did we forget about Waggy for the grit and determination he also showed that game? Real body on the line stuff and motivating from the side line.
It shows that both love the club (like we do) but Waggy's heroics seemed to have got overshadowed by Davies.
I'd say give him a shot, strength in depth and all that.

Looking at the league us on 92 and and Pompey on 97 neither of these points totals would've been automatic promotion 2022/23 with Ipswich finishing in 2nd on 98 points.
Plymouth smashed League One 22/23 with 101 points and they're lingering around relegation, whilst Ipswich could be automatically promoted.
So for us in the Championship, I'll be happy with mid-table or anything other than relegation, however I also don't think we should simply disregard a decent play-off push because we don't have the cash, it's all about the right recruitment now, the right players for the right roles.
How we performed in the league below doesn't mean anything in the league above, look at Plymouth (again 101 points!!!) same can be said about Burnley and this season in the Prem but obviously that's an even larger gap.
Glass half empty we don't have the funds to truly compete but glass half full, we don't have the funds to buy useless cast offs for silly money, looking at you...
28.5 MILLION RIGHT THERE!!! 4.5m shy of what Clowes paid for our club. Screw it, whilst these did have the occasional moment you could add either Ince (6.5m), Bielik (8m) or Lawerence (5m) if you want for a total more than what Clowes paid for Derby.
Money doesn't mean anything, it's about building a team not buying a team.
