Great performance, hopefully an bright future for him.
Not sure I agree with the Jozwiak comments, sure he's not in great form at the moment but if he's if good enough to start for Poland surely he's good enough to start for Derby County with our current squad.

Think it’s his son that is
From what i've read John Motson is a Barnet fan but his son is certainly a Rams fan, here is a post from 2003. http://www.bbc.co.uk/Derby/rams/motson/fred_motson.shtml

Whoever it is I actually appreciate the silence on this and I hope they just announce it when it's a 100% done deal.
Too many chancers and dreamers borderline delusional potential owners in football.

I hope we can get some signings soon, lord knows we need them but at the moment unless they accept a signed autograph of Wayne Rooney and a bag of Monster Munch I cannot see how we can get anyone to sign at the moment... ?

I'm not sure how you can justify keeping someone in a job when the form has been woeful. A novice manager is not what is needed when the squad needs a complete rebuild. It was different with Lampard. He inherited a team which was in the play offs. We stayed competitive with him in charge.
Rooney on the other hand, inherited a mess of a squad. He's just about kept us afloat. I'm so conflicted. Regardless of what manager we have, as proven by Sheffield Wednesday this season, if it's a mess behind the scenes, we will not go anywhere fast. Rooney was spot on calling out the hierarchy yesterday. They need to get a grip because they are stalling this club and running it into the ground.
True but inherited a "mess of a squad" was inherited from an experienced manager.

Rooney is not the man to take us forward. If anyone can provide any evidence that I am wrong, please go ahead
How can you prove that he isn't? We were rubbish under Cocu and the same under Rooney but there was a hot minute under Rooney where some on here were cheekily thinking a late play off push is possible. The difference between Cocu and Rooney, Rooney hasn't signed signed a single player (outside a few loanees, whilst decent enough let's be honest they were no Mount, Wilson or Tomori).
Judge him when he made some signings and if we're still playing like this season then yes, get rid but we cannot keep hiring managers when we know the real problem is the squad and you cannot blame the manager for the squad when it's not his squad.

I personally like the notion of increasing to our foreign scouting network. Our scouting network has been pretty poor even when we had money at the start of Mel's reign the majority went on overhyped, over paid Championship players.
Let's not forgot the wealth of foreign talent in the squad in the late 90s to name a few Stimac, Poom, Baiano Carbonari, Wanchope, Asanović and Eranio and it was this era that brought us our most recent successes and for people younger than 40 (like me) our only successful period.

Good enough to start for Poland but not good enough to start for a Championship club with a paper thin squad...
