Ashley did not have a conversation with journalists. There is 0 quotes from Ashley in that article. That is the journalists using sources and other knowledge and putting things together. It shouldn't be taken as gospel. 
Apart from things clearly have been moving? You think nothing has changed in relation to Boro's legal case over a 12 month period? If the admins said they were in a position to announce the preferred bidder when they did, I assume they were told they would be allowed to deal with it after the takeover was completed. Clearly something changed for whatever reason. 

Perhaps I am reading too much into it, but that decision by RamsTrust comes across to me as them really not wanting to be the bearers of bad (possibly very bad) news…

This doesn’t surprise me one bit. This is Ashley all over. I see it now he will swoop in with a day to go save it. It’s the type of guy he is he will want a bargain which will happen as creditors will be pooping it and he will be a hero 

Because like historically they've been really good at keeping their promises regards updates. 
A month since they used the word imminent. Says it all.

Jumble of thoughts really from me, but IF the EFL, Wycombe, Boro allow us to basically cease to exist due to non football creditors - They’ve buggered it too. Can imagine HMRC, and other creditors taking action against them three if they aren’t able to get atleast 25p to the £1 for what they are owed.
 
 

There is potentially a get out of jail (and save a small amount of face) for both the EFL and the two ambulance Chasers - if the EFL announce that they have reviewed the rules in relation to the law changing and that they have also reviewed the claims from the 2 chancers, they can then legimately say that they've told the 2 that their claims shouldn't be treated as football debts and so they will need to go to court to make their claims.
That paves the way for the PB to be announced while making the EFL look as if they've taken decisive action and still gives the scumbags a chance to press their claims (even though in reality both will realise they have virtaually no chance of success in a law court as opposed to the EFL kangaroo court they hope to appear in.....). No-one is having to publicly back down and the Rams can be saved....

Curtis spoke really well as he always does, he made reference to the EFL saying they’ll do whatever they can to help and called it “laughable”….what a legend he is
