Jeez this thread is hard going these days ,, it’s like a professor Brian Cox lecture , this number , that number , this percentage that percentage, seems you need a masters in algebra to follow football 😂

CBRammette reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Krystian Bielik - Joined Birmingham on a 3 year deal
Leigh Curtis is talking up the wage savings as key;
If Bielik’s wages are as high as the rumoured £20-25k I once read (can’t remember where) and they’re factored into the budget/business plan, we could sign 3 solid squad players at this level for that money and strengthen the club overall.
While I bear him no ill will personally I’m glad to see Bielik leave. Feels like the last big reminder of Mel’s reign.

Never heard of them, seem like a BTEC Airbnb.
Nice logo though, pretty smart and subtle, which is all I care about. Even the colours aren’t too offensive, though I think it would fit very well on our shirt in all black.

CBRammette got a reaction from SKRam in Jason Knight - joined Bristol City
And if he is going expect we would rather he went sooner than later so that it is not unsettling for pre-season and PW knows who he has and what he can spend. So another reason no "bidding war" likely to get inflated price.
Just have to hope @B4ev6is that we get a decent sell-on later when he realises your faith in him and makes a big money move under better circumstances. Think Ipswich is a good match for him currently and would rather he went there than other rumoured interested parties

Errrrr......Rotherham? 😄

Equally the fact they’ve gone for him suggests there’s lots of competition for Knight and that we are holding firm

According to various sources, the fee is £1.5m. This for a player 3 years older than Knight and no senior Irish caps compared with Knight's 20 caps. As a result of his age, he would have been free to leave for nothing next year, where Knight's fee would be set by tribunal.
These facts point to Knight commanding a fee greater than the £1.5m we've been hearing. But Peterborough have a knack of receiving good fees for their players, whereas Derby don't.

Hi started this for @JakeDCFC to stop him challenging @B4ev6is for the most threads created! And also for myself in case I've missed any. Need to go to work so no time to post any suggestions now though! What dcfc related books would you recommend for our new friend?

I am indeed a reader! What would you recommend I title the thread as? And wait why did it make you miserable? hahaha

Re Wanchope - our beloved manager often signed players in pairs so that squad had two costa ricans him and Solis, two croatians (asanovic and the god stimac) and two italians (baiano and eranio). Are you a reader? If so forum posters can probably recommend a few books also and could start a thread.
Also it may not be the effect you were after but reading your match report and the players mentioned on a Monday morning before work has actually made me quite miserable!!! Sorry!

If there are few clubs keen on signing him we should get his current market worth. But unfortunately it wont be as much as you hope.
Nobody knows for sure that he actually wants to go and we want to sell him. If he were to stay and have a stellar season he would likely get better personal terms when he leaves but he could also be injured and be in a worse position. I like to think Jason is perhaps torn between wanting to stay to see us back up and what he is being told is best for his career.
I cant help thinking all of younger players here through the last few years were perhaps more effected by everything that went on and being thrown fully into "saving" us than we think meaning a bit of a hangover last year. Hopefully after a proper summer break they will be rejuvenated hopefully still at Derby.
